Nice to see another Lenco on the go. I have had the GL75 for close to 30 years and it has been in the family since 1973. Still use it now and again I just need to service the motor and bearing and will be cooking on gas as last done about 10 years or so ago. Using the NSC will now allow me to build a few more GL75's I have in the garage (I have 2 other NSC kits with the oscillator's but just need the rest of the parts) so all good!

Not played any music through the system for many months so the other day I fired up the SP10 (through the BB3) and distortion city First thought, valves are the problem so systematically started to replace the valves but no, still distortion so resigned myself that it could be another component in the BB3 that is the problem. This morning I thought 'I have 3 phono stages and 3 turntables so let's rule out the cartridge and swap the TT into another phono stage'. The problem moved to the other phono stage so sounds like it is probably the cart Will look to swap the carts out to make sure it is not a wiring issue betwixt the cart and the phono stage but doubt ite

Hope it's just a dirty stylus 🤞🏻

Stylus looked good but I will inspect it a bit closer tomorrow - will have to pull out an MM cart for the time being

No change made regarding the cartridge as almost lost the end of my index finger a few weeks back so unable to work on the fiddly screws and connection on the cartridge to swap etc - ho hum (it was a table saw incident and no, the blade was not the culprit). Hoping to do North West Audio show (will not be on the bike due to the finger issue) so may see some of you around (I will be the one carrying the Times news paper and carrying a red rose ) Still trying to get the garage sorted into a workshop - new garage door being fitted next week which will help with its heat retaining properties etc.

Made me chuckle Didn't bother with the hospital or docs to be honest - just steri strips and a bandage and see how we go.

Latest update. Managed to find some time today to look into the issue I had with the SP10 and the slight distortion I noticed. Moved the cart to my Lenco and no issues. Put the cart from the Lenco into the SP10 and no issues! Moved the carts back and................ no issues!! Playing some records now and all is good so a happy bunny - not sure what was the cause but currently playing nicely

Been busy with other stuff as had an accident with the motorbike so sorting that out: Repaired a subframe, managed to get a NOS rear view mirror and front top nose cone. Resprayed both the low front black panels and repaired the cracked offside top fairing plus repainted and all fitted together today: A few other jobs to do then can catchup on my hifi

All good thanks - I was washing the bike and my drive slopes so I normally have it going across the drive with the rear wheel on a flat. For a change I had it that the front wheel was on the flat so when I removed the paddock stand from the rear it leant more than I anticipated and 'crash' - into the gate Went for a ride today and no issues so happy

Last weekend I fitted a new tonearm cable to the GL75 but didn't get a chance to spin any records. Got home late last night (been away all last week in Cape Town - work) so today, everyone is out so spinning tunes Sounding really nice so happy.
