Great condition and looks very nicely built. At that price they may as well have just given it to you!

Reminds me of Leben a bit. Anything before about 1983 is still undiscovered territory for me, so it’s good to see stuff I’ve not sen or heard about before.

Ive always been a big fan of the old Ferrograph 'F307' Amplifier from the late 60's. I had three totally minto ones, Mk.1 & two Mk.2's [Seriel No2000 Onwards]. I sold one to a certain very well regarded British speaker company MD.. These early Trios sound a lot better & ofc they are reliable. See im not really you regular Audio enthusiast, I cannot be doing with Amps & Speakers post 80's. I cannot be doing with amps that do not have tone controls & i deffo loath anything the resembles Flat Earth activity.. I suppose that narrows British offerings from the 80's down a bit

I had a pair of them many many years ago. They look in fab condition, there's also a pair of Ditton 44's further down the page.

I've got a soft spot for the '44' but they really are not much cop in ultimate terms. Never had the '33'.

Dont like '44' & i certainly do not like the '66'.. '33' has a 10" Bass Unit. If that is too big you could opt fro the '22' which is basically the same but with an 8" unit..

the 33's seem to be the unsung hero of the range, ive had 44's and 66's and always fancied a listen to the 33's.

33 & 22 were also the best looking..
Rebuilt my old '33' crossovers with Ansar 'Supersound caps, retained the original Inductors as they are good uns..

I do all rebuilds myself & i only use the best components the cost soon mounts up. The PSU Reservoir cap in Black Gate 'K' would cost about £30 the alone.
Absolutely worth it .The big problem with people is they buy vintage amp, plug em in & think they are crap. If they listened again to a fully rebuilt model of what ever they bought they would think twice.
What is up with yours?

Not bad after 10+ years in the loft and being thick end of 30 years old at least with no work being done on it. Oh, the power light doesn’t work 🤣 fail! And I have the matching tuner too. Used to have a deck too but that died many years ago before I knew about forums like this to get stuff fixed.

Nice simple understated looks. Reminds me of the Sugden A21a. S.

I wish id kept them now just to complete the sets.. Cos the '2001' is really beautiful looking thing at night all lit up.. The Trio 'Supreme 1' is the amp of theirs i always wanted. It was amazingly expensive back in the day..

The amp, tuner, deck and a pair of Wharfedale Denton 3 were my first foray into HiFi. Got it from the classifieds in the local paper and paid (I think) £150 for the lot in about 1990. Loved it

Also the Glass platter version had a thick inset removable alloy Armboard instead of the arm being mounted directly on the plinth like that one.
