Anything with "Amazing" in its name makes me suspicious. The seller is right. Those Exposure XVI's are bloody amazing!! I've heard XVI before. S.

They might as well be I suppose.

Dammit! I just checked my Paypal. Only £259 in it. Looks like I will have to missed out

But without a stupidly expensive power cord you are not imagining - sorry, enabling - your system to reach its full potential!
Maybe you could owe Russ the 2 quid until next pay day? Or go to Kwik Quid and 'restore some order' at 10,000 percent interest.

I was totally sure I heard increases in power when I bought ever more expensive Kimber mains products. Then I changed amps and moved around and used whatever was handy. When I came to reconnect the Kimber stuff, I couldn’t hear any difference. I was left with 3 possibilities.
1. Put it down to them working with Naim amps and CD, but not with other kit. 2. Our ot down to different mains. The new place may be masking the differences or simply not need the better cable. 3. Accept that I heard differences in power because I expected to, because I saw the heavy duty cable and was reassured, or because my ego wouldn’t let me fail to hear a difference when I had paid good money and I wa a depiscerning audiophile.
Like the various stages of dealing with tragedy, I have progressed through the first two and I’m kinda ready to accept that some combination of elements listed at 3 is most likely.

My only experience of LFD was the Zero integrated many years ago. It was very smooth but my speakers meant it was a bad match, so unfair to judge really. Price is a bit strong. Id be lookig to get it for £350 or less.

How about this? Not sure if it is a bargain price though. Looks fantastic
Never had one but I do like the integrated, as does Shane.

Seems expensive. A modded one with silver wire etc went for £450 a little while back.

No. A/B, but Radford used to quote some ultra high (for the time) specs I seem to recall.

The ZD22 preamp was ok at the time, but not so much the HD250, which was cap coupled and as I remember, couldn't drive IMF's very well. What the hell it was doing into R50's is anybody's guess, but for £20for a full stereo system I wouldn't mind

eBay is a greedy bastard. 10% is pretty standard for auction houses but still, it's keeping prices inflated. I like using Audiomart UK and Hififorsale. They don't charge anything but admittedly they don't have the same reach as eBay.

A wee bird told me Radford revival are to revive a preamp to compliment their STA 15 & STA 25 power amps. Not sure what model it will be though...!!! An SC22 would be nice. via Imgflip Meme Generator
