And it's on a Garrard display turntable no less. I owned one once, you used to see them in the baker's with wedding cakes on. Bloody useless for playing records on though!

I had one years ago. Paid about a tenner if I recall from a boot sale. Didn't rate it.

As good as what they were from a Nostalgia point of view..I prefer to choose old Japanese gear tbh. Get a lot more sound for your money & are ofc are more reliable..There is a lot of Snobbery with Hi-Fi fans, if its Japanese a lot turn their noses up..

I've had more old Jap amps that sounded good than British ones, although I'll admit the Rogers Ravensbrook was a sweet thing and my Cambridge Audio P80 ain't too shabby.

The Rogers Transistor amps all used inter stage transformers (i think ) the little Jap amps like the Rotel 'RA-311' & Trio 'KA-2000' were a lot better sounding

Had one. It didn't leave enough of an impression on me to want to keep it.

Its a good A/B design all the same. The class A designs of anything certainly left an impression on me. Never again impression..

I've heard really good things about these.not heard a pair though. I've been interested too, but only at the right price. The one thing that puts me off, is the durability (or not) of the foam surrounds on the rear mounted rectangular ABR units. They'd be a bugger to find proper replacements for, if at all.

I probably could, but making plaster dies for thermal forming the profiles from foam sheet would be more bother than it's worth. (I'd do it for decent Tannoys though )

Looks like it's had some stick to me. Yep,the bottom was a bit tatty but it’s already gone. First one I’ve seen in years. From the thumbnail I thought it might’ve been a Mechanic. I would’ve had it immediately.
