ofc you could have opted for the Rogers 'A100' Intergrated, that sounded nice & looked great or the 'A75'.. 'T75' tuner was a very good sounding tuner which matched both the 'A75' & A100 Aesthetically however the 'T100' was the match for the A100' but never looked as good as the 'T75' imno..

The A60 changed during its long life and eventually, the price killed it - a sign of how the hifi market changed as forty years ago, the A60 was seen as a beer budget bargain. At the end, I remember it was over £200 when a Creek 4040 was not much more than half that price and sonically very good, if not as meaasurably 'complete.'

Did you ever compare these tuners, lety alone stock or sell the T75 and T100 in comparison? The T100 was a stunning sounding tuner back in the days before broadcast compression set in... The T75 was a bit 'meh' in comparison looks aside.

Cyrus on ewas £149. I think the 4040 was cheaper again. The A60 just couldn’t compete against the newer looking and more powerful amps the mags were raving over, such as the 8000a and Cyrus Two. People either bought budget or went to £299 or£320 for a mid price amp. Nobody wanted the ancient looks either, we struggled to sell Creek because of the wood sleeve. It was just unfashionable. Pity because I liked the Creeks.

We sold more of the 4140 at the end and our sales director made us sell Cyrus 1's too along with the other Cyrus stuff, so he could get his annual skiing holiday free-gratis from Cyrus. Arcam updated the style and sound into the Delta 60 which was very much a 'snappy rhythm' kind of sound, rather than the looser more 'musical' older A60's (there was a kind of transition between the two extremes though). of course in the main store, the Nait in whatever incarnation it was (1 or 2) was regarded as by far the best...

Yeh Quality of Enclosure went down hill a bit. The originals were separate front & rear Fascia in thick Aluminium extrusions bolted onto a Cadnium plated metal base plate. Nice chucky heatsink. The later ones were cheap pressed Chassis with cheaper sinks.. I did hear a sound difference between the early ones & the late ones..

I am not a Naim fan but the only product i liked of theirs was the 'Nait 2' & that glowing Green logo fascia was loverly,

I want to believe its plinth is a solid block of wood, but I suspect it isnt. Looks pretty but how it sounds is anyone's guess.

Japanese used to use either Chipboard or Plywood.. I personally hate that luxury Champagne finish the Japanese companies used..

A friend swore by Ram speakers back in the day. I would have said they're over priced but look in good condition.

Yes, they do. But I'd expect the AKG's to sound better.
