Never heard of them! Any good? Supposed to be pretty efficient with a big sound but I’ve never heard them either, Unless a mate picks some up, I guess I never will now,

Never heard of them! Any good? I've never heard a Cabasse speaker I liked. Years ago they made a huge 'statement' speaker that sold for mega bucks and it was one of the most horrible sounds I've heard. Can't recall the model, but it was a huge tapered column with an 'eyeball' on the side. Pig ugly too.

I've only ever heard one pair of Cabasse, large standmounts from the late 1970s or early 1980s. They were pretty good, rich bass and plenty of sparkle. Like a Harbeth that has been woken up a bit.

Couldn't say, it was years ago and they belonged to a mate's dad. I don't even know if they were a two or three way as the grilles were on.
I seem to like French speakers for some unknown reason.

If a good price is less than £30 go for it. They're nothing special.

Anyone heard Ditton 25's? I may be able to get a pair for a good price.... If you can get them for less than £100 go for it. Make sure the HF2000 supertweeters are working though and still have the little black metal grilles over the clear domes. That's where the money is, the HF2000's alone can sell for up to £200 for a good pair. The Ditton 25 is OK'ish, lacks mid resolution to an extent, nice top end, slightly baggy but reasonably deep bass.

Who is paying £250 for a Ditton 25? Or is that just what they are asking, in which case it's meaningless. All sorts of crazy chancers asking unrealistic prices on ebay.
What does sold listings show they actually go for? I bet it isn't anything remotely like £250.

Had a couple of sets of 44's, can't say I was desperately struck with them. Slightly better balance and detail to the 25 though.

I need to get my IMFs sorted out. Now that's a 1970s speaker that's worth its salt.

I got the fine tolerance set from Falcon Acoustics. I don't know if they are all bi-polars.
The problem is the xover boards are covered in BAF wadding from where they were glued down on it. So that all needs removing which is a long and tedious job. Quicker just to build new boards and hardwire. But I've not got around to it due to both options being a total ball ache.

Falcon caps will be OK. Bought a lot of stuff from them over the years. Anyway, if you get stuck give me a shout. Take photos of everything before you start.

Nice. I wouldn't want to be trying to find spares for one though.
