A Noel Keywood favourite iirc... I thought it was the Sextet that he was really keen on?
I used to quite enjoy his speaker reviews, at least they were not just full of praise, if he heard something he didn't like he said so.
Yes. I think you're right that noel's fave was the sextet. The quartet got a lot of column inches from them, for sure, though. Might have been David Price. They recommend them with valves... |

DP was always the Mission 752F, then he got NS1000M. They recommended valves with everything. In fact the whole mag was valves and vinyl for years. Transistor amps were harsh and grey and as for digital...well we won't go there.
It was still the best mag for a long time though.

Use close to the wall on amps not too assertive and they're a bargain as long as you don't need spares for them (I suspect).

Never heard them but they look in good nick and the price is keen. IME Missions are either pretty good or total clunkers.

Awesome collection of tat for sale here. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183859555491I spotted a couple of decent tape decks, but who wants a tape deck? And possibly a Luxman TT that might be worth a ton on a good day. But otherwise it all seems to be junk and the speakers are shocking, just firewood. £4.5K! |
