Probably the going rate for a half decent tonearm these days Andre'. I always get Logic and Helius mixed up and I should know better, I've got the original Helius arm.

I've got the original Helius arm. The Aureus with the Gold colour arm tube?

I've got the original Helius arm. The Aureus with the Gold colour arm tube? No. This one, the first model I believe. It didn't have a name as such.

Looking at it, Does not have a retractable headshell, Cant see a bolt which makes that a 'Aurum'

Has to be an 'Aurum', I noticed slots in the base plate. The standard were just drilled, reason for that is the Tube was adjustable + that arm tube is a lot more chunky looking for a standard..

Ah well, you know more about them than me Andre'. I've not really looked into it as I've had no use for the arm yet. It just looked interesting, so I bought it. I can see it going nicely with one of my Connoisseur BD1's.

Can you see the difference. The Bolted head shell & drilled Mounting plate is the standard. The Fixed head shell & Slotted Base is 'Aurum'

Hmm. That was a library photo I posted earlier. Just dug mine out, it has slotted base with Helius written on and slotted fixed headshell.

Sounds like Some inter changable Base plate weirdness going on.. Totally illogical having a slotted head shell & slotted base plate..

Martin just hates the reliability. They are good sounding arms if you get a working one.

Sold one a couple of years ago, got about £100 as I recall. Didn't rate it that much. Sound was a bit dull.

For the money they are hard to beat. I still use my SSC. and will d until such time as I see another silly cheap Black Rhodium set. Recommending something you like ain’t shilling in any sense of the word. You’re very welcome to mention the deal. Hopefully someone will see it and get a cheaper cable out of it.

The Mission 774. I’ve had a few 774 LC arms but they are just a rebadged Jelco
