I use a small pair of Sony 'MDR ZX600' if im just having a quick listen directly from the Laptop..

I had a massive collection in the late 80's. Drove me nuts but every one was Mint & neat all had Perfect poly sleeves. OCD Heaven but even thought they were neat the amount looked untidy & although i do miss them in a way i was glad to see the back of the amount..
I am sick in the head though. I must have matching sets of stuuf, like CD with consecutive catalogue numbers. We do not have that too much over here which sent me down the Japanese card sleeve edition route. They were perfect.. Being a File person now makes it easier. I can rip a CD & leave out all the bonus stuff creating a file like the original LP format & not have to worry about loads of Physical media or if the catalogue numbers are consecutive etc..

Time for a little update.
My cousin has kindly given me his Yamaha A-S301. Nice amplifier with plenty punch and detail. Nothing harsh or anything nasty about it. Just good old fashioned clean upfront sound!
The speakers are still the same - Dali Spektor 2.
CD Player is a Cambridge Audio Topaz CD10. But will soon be looking to replace it with a better machine.
