Have to say I was not impressed with the active Kef's at a show. Are the passives much different?

Thinking about on getting Dali Zensor 3 in the next couple months. Dali always use decent quality drivers in all their speakers.

They all look better with the grills off. The drivers have aesthetic qualities.

I have a friend who uses Dali's (not expensive ones) and keeps going back to them. I understand they are very listenable, he's very particular.

They look nice in white, I reckon. Maybe not everyone’s cuppa but I always seem to like lighter colours.

The ever so popular Slee Novo. Have owned a couple examples in the past. This is now my 3rd helping. These are very good sounding, very musical and can drive (not all) most headphones. S.

Dali Zensor 3 Speakers. Denon CD/AMP Combo. ''710AE'' series. Think these go back to around 2009/2010 era. The internals inside the amp look similar to the older Denon PMA-250se. Sounds alright! S.

Sold on the Dali Zensor 3 a few weeks ago to help my parents with the mortgage.
Now I'm using some slightly cheaper Dali Spektor 2. Nice little speakers, plenty enough bass to fill our semi-medium sized cabin room. I notice the treble on these Spektor 2 are voiced slightly warmer than the more airy Zensor. Which can be a bit of a good thing for poorer recordings.
Would love to try their Rubicon 3 Speakers someday! But of course I'll need a better class of amp/cd player.

It's a bit like playing the lottery with some valve amps. Had a Schiit Valhalla 2 for a short while, OTL design. Sounded lovely through Sennheiser HD600.

Looking at possibly changing my amplifier in the next couple months or so. Been reading about the Audiolab 6000A integrated. Will soon be making arrangements to audition the 6000A in a few weeks.

I'd avoid it. It only weighs 7.8 kilos even though it's not a class D. And it's 600 notes!

It'll sound good within its limits, I'm sure. If you just have it playing gentle music, at fairly low levels through easy to drive speakers it'll be as good as anything. But who just wants to do that?

Just wondering what you’re currently using? Any more thoughts on amp change?
