Excellent advice there Karl, thankyou it was what I was wanting to hear. I am in the same process but a few steps behind you in trying to find better amplification for the Hecos so looking at my options. Obviously Croft is my first choice however regarding power amps I am not that concerned as I regard them as a tool to do a job as it were. But saying that I am concerned about quality and certainly the Neurochrome would fit the bill especially as I cannot really budget for 7R monos, if I could it would be game over.
I have been especially inspired by you Neurochrome build and wanted a project to start coming into my retirement which will be very soon and building the Neurochrome looks well within my capabilities. Thnaks for the great photos and build journey!
I think fairly soon I will know exactly which way I am going to go with my system as I have asked Glenn a few questions and of course I have been kindly assisted by all you Neurochromo fanatics with advice and recommendations.
Here is something for all Neurochrome fans if they have not seen it.

Yeah I’d personally sit tight for a few weeks until A you’ve spoken to Glenn, B heard Olis lash up , and C waited for my preamp to arrive as you may then have the option of both amps being available to you and can make an informed decision. As I said , if I like what I’m hearing with the new preamp then the monos will likely be available straight away at a huge discount on new prices so there may be a bit left in the tank for a preamp fettle
