Ok so in keeping with this being a no holds barred build I have ordered some lengths of Neotech Teflon coated 7N UP-OCC to use on the amplifier outputs and guardian outputs . Supposedly the dogs danglies from what I read .
Being the legend he is, Oliver had also agreed to make me some of his Spotfire cables for the amplifier input so I will have the ultra pure copper running on every signal cable , all the way from the Bigbottle RCAs into the speakers .
Wether or not there will be an improvement is yet to be seen but I’m confident the Neotech will be better than the cheap wires Tom supplied .

So most of the parts I ordered to remake the input and output cables have now arrived in Australia from America IN LESS THAN 2 DAYS, the neotech wire arrives tomorrow.
That’s crazy quick.
Aus-post can’t even deliver a record from a store 10km away within a week unless you pay $23 for express . Which is pretty much what the postage cost me from half way across the world.

A little bit more progress tonight . I’ve added the Neotech 7N UPOCC cables to the output of the guardians . I have to say it looks and feels much better quality than the stuff provided by Tom and it’s supposed to be the daddy. I bloody Sh#t myself . I stupidly I managed to cut two of the wires from both negatives about 5mm too short so they only just got a bite on the binding post screws . Schoolboy stuff . Anyway they just about reach which is the main thing and I didn’t have to buy another metre. I will add a blob of solder on to each one to fully secure them for the long haul . Unfortunately the crimp pins that Tom told me to get are not the right ones so I need to source some of them before I can re-do the amp out/guardian input wires .

The amp out are JST. The guardian in on mine were either screw terminal, or molex.
If you have the links to the documentation downloads, then you should be able to find the part number.

Yeah same on mine. Tom sent me the code but the wrong clips arrived . They’re too slim . Hopefully I can find some within Australia so I do t have to pay for shipping from US again .

Blame it on the Brexit.... They will.
Funnily enough, I can’t see that restriction.

VERY ...#eyebrows I don’t have any experience with it personally but have been very impressed with Olis UPOCC cables so thought I would stump up for a this stuff . Reading up on it though , it seems that it’s considered up there with the best by the majority of people who have used it .

It is due to the new customs process. I stole this from elsewhere:

A bit more progress today. The supreme grade toroidy arrived and I have to say it is absolutely beautifully made. Hats off to the guys in Poland and you can really see where that extra little outlay goes. Top quality. It’s all starting to look like a serious amplifier now. Weighs a ton too. Im all wired up to PSU’s now so am ready to test to make sure I’m getting around 36v . What’s the best way of going about this? Where the best place to put the multimeter ? Cheers

Is it the screw terminals or the little holes on the pcb? Will be difficult to get the multimeter pins inside the screw blocks as the chassis is up tight to it. Can I go on the top of the screws ? What about here

Holes on the pcb is best. Sometimes if the terminals are of the rising clamp type they don't make good contact to the top screw unless done up.
I have been caught out with this before.
