Despite being unemployed, technically, I'm busier than ever, building hifi, cad contracting and setting up a small hifi related product business. And all from the safety of home. I shall venture out later for a post run and to stock up on essentials, rum and coke...

Dont forget, therebis an Independent Traders section on the Forum so once you've got yourself up and running, or even if you just want to advertise your Paradise making skills, let me know and I'll sort out some space for you. Its absolutely free, I just want to support guys who are trying to make a dent in the big boys 😉

Just been to Tesco's at Skipton. Most staple diet shelves are empty. Till lady said the store room is empty also. Pretty frightening really.

It looks like we have an enforced two week shut down.

I've noticed people are stockpiling strong-smelling chemicals and donning respirators so I figured it would be a good time to start up a meth lab without raising the slightest suspicion.

Good plan. And when you produce your fist batch people will panic-buy it so you won't have any trouble shifting it.

Being one of the 'at risk' people I guess I am stuck in the house for the next 12 weeks (at least) oh well.

I have asthma so am at risk, decided that if I have enforced banning form pubs etc I'll save my beer money and see if I can get a new cart at the end of it. Every cloud etc.🙂

The key point in all this is situation is common sense, which seems to be somewhat lacking currently.
Also being one of the designated at risk group, I shall work at home as much as practically possible, though not always the case, our employer is being very understanding with this.

If it's down to common sense I'm definitely gonna need some help.

Probably, depends I suppose what you are visiting the Hospital weekly for. Venisection administered by trained NHS Vampires, or a transfusion or series of transfusions.

I am not, but the wife is. It is not going to be easy staying at home, but it is a lot easier than what has happened in the past. At least we are comfortable...

Both me and the missus are in the high risk category, but the thought of having 12 weeks of the missus at home gives me willies.
She has Temporal Arteriris and Asthma, I have Diabetes, Ischmia, a brain hamorrhage and two heart attacks notched up for my sins.
We are far more concerned with the financial fallout during and after this episode than having the fear from a poxy little microbe.
At work she has already lost 50% of her volunteer staff this week alone and any more losses means she will have to close the shop.

Looks like I'm going to be working from home in the near future. Good in that I can get up 2 hours later and no travel expenses. Bad in that work is the only human contact I get, apart from chatting to the bloke in the off-license and the bird in the Chinese takeaway. Done it before and I went stir-crazy after a couple of months.

I am doing that now, except the off license and bird in the Chinese. I have to put up with the wife and daughter.

Massive over reaction in my view. Isn't it obvious that these measures aren't working in Italy ?
