Maybe they're rioting against being locked up with no income and faced with an intransigent government who is more focused on stock market and corporations than on putting bread on the plate of the unemployed. There has to be an available universal wage/credit for people who cant work. Unless the uk gov gets their act together with the 500k universal credit claimants and the 6 week wait there will be anarchy. As soon as peoples money runs out they'll take what they want to eat if they cant pay for it. Its inevitable. And I reckon we're less than 30 days away from full scale rioting if nothing changes. I think you have a good point there.

It'll be interesting to see the result of Sweden's non isolation strategy. I suspect it wont last but at least it might be a valuable experiment.

Whilst it is a comment about the Government at present, it doesn't appear to be a biased view, more a concern over the backlogs of UC applications But yes, I agree that we dont want this to become a political shitting ground. People cannot talk politics without falling out.

Nice to see you're looking on the bright side Si. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Just heard on the news, the UN are warning of food shortages due to Covid19. WTF, do they want everyone panic buying. Also told could take 6 months before we are back to normal, again, many might think f..k it, I'm going out.

We are now convinced that my wife has C-19. She has had a temperature since Thursday (mostly getting worse in the evening) and has an on and off cough.

I was thinking it might all be worth it if it meant the FA abandoning the season and Leeds not getting promoted , but I think it's time it fuxked off back to China now !

Just got back from Sainsbury’s - there was a bloke rushing round the shop who had brought 15kg of paella rice, 5 cases of tequila, 8 sombreros and 12 piñatas. I thought to myself, Hispanic buying.

Apparently day 8 is one of the toughest if it is COVID-19. Just bear in mind that there are other illnesses around that can be similar.

I don’t know if there is any truth in the story, but it may be worth you both dosing yourselves up with Vitamin C.

Hoping your wife is ok Paul. Thanks Antonio. She says she feels fine apart from the ongoing cough, we will see how it pans out. Fingers crossed. My wife and I both had a dry cough for about a week and I felt very clammy for a few evenings. Those who've had it severely all report the same thing...starts with a really rough persistent cough which goes on for about 3 days followed by severe joint and muscle aches...it goes away and you feel fine for a day or two before being hit with a high temperature and pneumonia which lasts about a week. This is the period that needs monitoring as some find breathing starts getting difficult...and dial 111. Hope your wife recovers. We're both fine now but thought we were going down with it for a while. There's a lot of other bugs doing the rounds too so it's easy to become paranoid. Food production's going on as normal...the UN are scare mongering which is an incredibly irresponsible way to behave at the minute.

Just got the call from work. We're now starting medical equipment and power manufacturing so it's a vital. Which is fine. But we have no decent ppe and it's in Lancashire so obviously everyone except me spits a lot , are sadly delinquent in the personal cleanliness desciplines and have no childhood handkerchief training. 🙁
