Today I relegated my CD player to the bottom shelf of the rack. I hardly use it. I think that the arrangement of the equipment needs to be redone, as it just looks unbalanced now.

Been a rather mixed day for me. Had to collect son-in-law from Launceston to take him to Plymouth Argylle's football ground for his Covid jab, but the annoying thing he lives just around the corner from where the missus and me had our jabs in Launceston. 100 mile round trip, what a waste of time and money
To ease the pain I organised a jaunt around Plymouth to pick up a mobility scooter, a new vacuum cleaner and a new freezer. The vacuum and freezer were no problems as they came from a retail park, but the scooter pickup went less well. The house was on a main road so I pulled over on some double yellow lines opposite and the missus said it would be better on the wide verge opposite outside the house, so needed to back up a couple of feet to drive over to the other side of the road. Dropped the car into reverse, it went back a foot and collided with a bus stop which was right in my blind spot. Nice. Busted rear light cluster and bumper reflector to round off the day

Today I am going to sort my rack out. I hate this type of job, as the music stops.... I think the BB3 deserves a shelf of it’s own, and the DAC can sit on top of the CD player.

Job done. Now just got to sort the redundant cables out, and tidy up the others. I still need to make up my new cable between the PS and pre, but I needed the rack to be right before I did this. (I am amazed that the equipment does not fall off though).

That's a pretty full house you have there, is the turntable on a different shelf?
Looks good.

Yes, it is on a wall mounted shelf. The top shelf could be used for another TT, but I am doubting the value of doing this.

Looks pretty handy as a spare valve and bits and bobs shelf.

Today, after taking Macca's suggestion for playing Defender, I felt it was worth upgrading the scope screen a touch. Now even the blind bats can see the distortion figures

I had my first CV-19 jab. 2nd one booked in already. In and out in less than 20 minutes. Really efficient. Got done at the same time as the Mrs.

🤣🤣
The really scary thing is that I'm using a relatively modest mm atm. Good knows what it will be like when I stick the ZYX on.

Was talking to an old friend I last saw at least 10 years ago. We saw Talking Heads and Siouxsie back in 77. ( Jeff Keighley. He once played drums for Kate Bush which is why I tolerated her LP last night ) He said he'd ditched his CD player and given a thousand CDs away. I asked if he'd ditched his Rega jink board aswell. He said he would never ditch his record player....A lesson to be learned there methinks , digitites . I admit I did a little wee. 🙂

he should have sold the cds instead of giving them away then he might have had enough cash to buy a deck that goes round at the right speed.

Not a very imaginative name for a dog.
