wow so sorry to hear this can you afford to go private with legs ?? that pain sounds utterly appalling The pain is just unbearable and if I had the money I would go private in a heartbeat So so sorry. You need a lot of support, let alone the immediate medical issues. Just awful. |

The sound you hear is me loosing another marble.
Today I (ok last night)….. I bought another cd.
Having divested (see under declutter/cleanse/tidy up life) of all cd’s and my monster cd player… I went and bought another cd.
The good news is that Oli might quite like it eventually.
No, me and my lad went to see Heidi Browne at Harmer Chapel in Oswestry last night.
Good grief, what a performance. Aided by her dad (who used to be in the Kate Bush Band and Barclay James Harvest) and her brother. Outrageous musicianship.
Anyway, she was trying to get rid of cd’s and said, ‘ah f**k it, it’s black Saturday … they are a fiver’
I shall be ripping it to my NAS as it’s rather brilliant.

Today a friend popped over so had a bit of a re-jig of the musicroom. Well it certainly looks a bit more spacious 😂😂 and the Arcam Two Pluses are sounding awesome, theres a nice level of richness to them now they have the wall for some reinforcement.  Kallex is in the bedroom, just need to score some bookcases for my CDs. |

Turns out the tyre had a Stanley blade embedded in the tread, so new tyre needed as near the edge and not directly in the tread itself. Wouldn't be so bad but the tyre is about 3 weeks old  Another £130 gone |

Today I Sold the GamuT and boxed it up (all 25kg) ready for Parcleforce to collect tomorrow. Also received an offer of £2.5k for my MFA Baby Ref V1 which Ive accepted, and an enquiry on the Power Inspired. Now just need to sell the Summits, hopefully someone will bite at £2.2k.

The MFA has SOLD.
Crazy thing is, I now have plenty of pennies in the hifi bucket but theres nothing I need for the time being, and the Lector is also out on audition pending a sale.

Today I treated myself to a new toy 😍😎 As much as I like the Puresound A30, I wanted a bit more resolution, warmth and drive so grabbed this mint, 18 month old Icon Audio ST40 MkIV Signature Edition at roughly 50% of rrp. Have only listened to it for 15 mins so far as had phonecall from insurance company then off to Mums for chef duties but sounds nice, will listen more when back home later.  As for the F#@*ing insurance company or more accurately the Carol Nash claim process. Because I've rejected their write-off valuation, I've had to contact the actual, insurance company Ageas and file a new claim (CN systems not talk to Ageas systems) and go through all the details again, send any photos I have, then wait for there appropriate ved engineers to assess the damage. Ohh and I have to contact the courtesy car people to see if I can keep the car, if not then WTF do I do, not paying out £300 a week then wait for repayment whilst they argue the toss, also have to pay the £650 policy excess and claim it back from dickheads insurance. You have to have insurance by law, you pay loads for it and yet the ar$eholes do nothing to earn the ££s and you have there free ght them all the way to get a fair payout. Now waiting to find out their valuation and what happens if I reject it and how I, get enough to buy a car of similar age, mileage and condition. BA$TARDS!!! |

Well my upstairs tennant has been out all day so have been giving it large with the ST40, ALL 6 versions of it (Ultra Linear + low, medium and high sensitivity and same for Triode mode) I've settled on Triode + Low sensitivity, smooth, punchy, detailed with great tone and tight deep nuanced bass. I really can't believe what these Arcam Two Plus speakers are doing, they sound bloody amazing, okay they're being fed by some really good kit but even so these were only £199 in 1987 (£457.10 now) so only upper budget stand-mounts. They were good before (fed by Cambridge amps or the Puresound) this amp has transformed them into giant-killers to my ears.
