This evening in my search for ML replacements I plumbed a pair of AN-E I have on extended loan into the main rig. Sounding very nice via the Puresound in Triode mode (18wpc) and has given me a reference point for anything else that gets tried. Have some Jamo concert 11, Snell J and hORNS Aria 1, Cyrus 782? coming to my BO on Sunday for a tryout.

I have to say, I know I'm selling a pair and am biased, but I genuinely think the Ekta and maybe one of Jason's subs would be something worth considering in your room. Just a perspective

Most likely true aoli, but ££s wise I'm not in a position to spend that much at present. Also with what's going on with Mum I will more than likely be selling up and moving so have a different room etc by this time next year. Once I'm out of limbo I can look for my end-game speakers, until then I will just look at <£2k speakers that do it for me.

Yeah she doing better the expected. I don't know about the initial 3 - 6 months diagnosis in mid July, the way, she's going it's 3 - 6 bloody years. 😂 She's a tough old bird, and even though she knows she's on the way out from cancer in pancreas & liver + narrowed arteries in heart and some aneurysms in brain, says she not in any pain 4 months on, which the family is happy about. She's also still sharp as a tack doing her Sudoku, word searches & crosswords.

I'm waiting to see what they decide with my car after they collected it Tuesday, morning. If they write it off I will be arguing the toss for quite a while. Accident weren't my fault so I not willing to suffer financially, + very few, low mileage, (68.4k) 65 plate 2.0 diesel Astra GTCs around and all for more than I paid in Feb.

Today I received the call I've been expecting, tye car is a total, write-off. They're going to send me a copy of the engineers report but the basics are: Repair cost £9,906.49 Salvage value £657 Engineers vehicle valuation £5,480. They can Fook Off if they think I'm accepting £5480 as a payout, I cant buy a replacement 65 plate 2.0 diesel GTC with ~70k miles for less than £6.3k. The loss dept are going back to the engineers to see what can, be done on the valuation and if I still not happy they will pass it back to the insurance Company Carol Nash to argue the toss with the other twats insurance company. The big joke is that the longer the other company wriggles the more it will cost them, as I'm racking up £200 - £300 (estimate) a week in replacement vehicle hire costs.
Let battle commence. 🤬🤬😡

Had a terrible day to be honest. Last weekend the wife went away to the Manchester christmas market so I was alone with our two dogs. Was outside building a new back gate but when I went indoors the whole place was covered in blood and looked like a knife fight had taken place. Poor bitch had blood pouring from her mouth, it was a continuous stream. Rang the vets and they said to come immediately, so I clipped her lead on and headed to the front door, but our other dog dashed past me and proceeded up the road at high speed and vanished around the corner. Put poorly dog into the back of the car and drove round and round the estate many times searching for the escapee. A neighbour offered to look for him while I carried on to the vets. Gave her his lead and said I would go home and unlock the front door to put him in. Just as I pulled up back at our house another neighbour had hold of the errant dog by the collar, but meanwhile the car is getting soaked in blood. Vet said that a sharp piece of tartar had sliced into her cheek, so gave me some tablets to stop the bleeding, which by now had virtually stopped. Fat lot of good the tablets did as the dog's bed was soaked the next day.
Was told to go back today for the dental treatment, facing a bill of nearly £700. Vet asked the age of the dog and we said 12 so an anaesthetic was too risky, plus she has hip problems and bladder issues too. Kindest thing to do then was put her to sleep and it nearly broke my heart, spent ages blubbering outside the vets Just to make my day I have ongoing artery blockage issues to my legs which I have had one procedure for which worked for only a couple of weeks, but ever since has rapidly got worse. Saw the consultant 3 weeks ago who said there is a waiting list for more operations, but if it gets worse to contact his secretary, which I did today. She said the waiting list is now over six months, so I told her I can only walk around 15 feet before I cannot go further and I am lucky to get three hours sleep each night because the pain in my legs is so bad it wakes me up. Hoping they treat this as urgent otherwise I'm going to throw myself under a bus. SIX MONTHS!!!

nonuffin Very sorry about your dog, it must be a great loss since she was 12 years old. Hope you do not have to wait 6 months before you can go to hospital, good luck with that and the pain you are suffering.
