Right, I need some normal real world things to do this morning, I'm all electronic'd out now.
I just took this image about 10 minutes ago, what a glourious day in the making, more breeze about and the temp is a 'nice' 26C
Today is about having a couple of bottls of ice cold Westons Vintage, have cut the grass, tidied up the Lab, cleaned ther car, polished her ladyships's horseless carridge, just started writing a white paper on how rail noise affects clocking circuits & microprocessor functionality in ADC'. Its dry subject but its cool in the shade, the cider is particularly refreshing, the red Kites are hassling the crows & magpies for once and all is well with life today.

Good to see you giving it a rest Tony . Today some friends of myself and Linda my wife have their Wedding anniversary so we will be joining them late afternoon for an informal party . Good to get out and any excuse to drink some bubbles and eat home made Indian food is one worth taking .
Weather is a bit overcast but should clear up about 14.30 / 15.00 which is ideal . Knowing them there will not be any music but I can but hope , I will pack my A&K Kann and Sony Earbuds just in case I have to have a little music to ease the pain .
Hope everyone is enjoying good weather were ever you all are and if you drink I think it would be rude not to have something cold and long to sip on in the sunshine . If you are looking for something a little different then try some White Port with Schwepps Tonic water in a nice long glass with ice . Very different taste but be careful it is very easy to drink .

That sounds great, Red Kites are my favourite bird. Just enjoying a nice beer, McEwans's Champion, delicious. Just been over to see my aunt who is 90 in a weeks time, Unfortunately I am double booked so can't attend her 90'th celebration.

Been tending to a lovely grave in pershore today , i love that place
Rather sobering to see a 5 year olds grave drenced in flowers and helium balloons with 5 on !!
Walked by the very overgrown footpath by the river ...seems a bit odd when so many live there but gosh it was very overgrown

returned from travels in Newark . Noticed on my travels the trains went to various locations that AA members live at including sleaford . Superb place to visit with the civil war museaum and many other attractions .
When we arrived we rather got lost on a hottish day and asked a nice chap in his garden where the Hotel was ? as we were flagging . A few moments later a beautiful big SUV arrived and the guy had dropped everything and come to take us there . I was totally blown away by that act of kindness . very impressed indeed .

Big day for me today. A dear friend is getting married today and it has been nearly 6 months of planning and jolly hard work plus a LOT of money thrown in as well. I am acting as chauffeur today ferrying people about and dropping a mountain of balloons and other paraphernalia off at the venue which is Sutton Harbour in Plymouth and the couple are staying in a rented apartment in the Barbican. Parking is a nightmare and I can see me having issues with tourists in the Barbican as the only access is a short length of path outside the apartment that I have to reverse into. Β£45 on a valet yesterday for the car and today some water was spilled on the back seat by someone who had a large tray of flowers and the silly bint had water in the jars despite being told not to, so now I will have to get a hair dryer out to dry it. Some people!!

Well it's been a very busy here, weather's been hit & miss this week, need to de stress somewhat. Friday rolled roundand I had sudden flash of inspirition (lol) a new piece of test kit is due shortly for a a very specific areospace project I'm working on and its quite large, so I thought I know I re arrange the lab space to take the wee beastie and free up some space. Great idea in principle, particalities arhhhh maybe not
So here we are enjoying a quiet very refreshing 'old Rosie', winding down after some serious construction duties, humping of heavy equipment, way to much time drilling and installing, plus far too much use of the uber henry vacuum cleaner
A small rewire, cable routing and another 20 sockets installed (you can never have to many ) and it's over bar the weed killing!
The result is a much more open working space, more light another wall mounted monitor for the Spectrum analyser and other instruments, moved the scope probe cupboard to right hand side. Really pleased with the outcome, also means a more conductive working environment all great things to help with those demanding jobs.
So some images of the fruits of the labour spilled in the last 36 hours!

What a fantastic working space you have. If I had a space like that Iβd never leave it! Got to ask, whatβs your impression on the Aqvox?

Thank you for the kind comments, great believer in a good work space is a happy work space. Keeps the mind and body sharpe imho.
The actual working space is approx 40 square meters, image below shows only 2/3 of this side of this side of the lab, there is another side to right which has 3d milling and printing machines ultra sonic cleaners etc.
With regard to the Aqvox I will let know at the weekend.

Today I just had to share this with, I was testing some new diesgns and couldn't quite work out my the readings were off, any way check this out
Really proud of the chap's today the just dropped off a couple of new idea Tx's I have looked at producing for a while this is 1.2Kva @ 32Vac unregulated new design, its destined for a new project which should be in the finial prototyping stage in around 4 weeks. Should prove to be part of a rather robust stable voltage rail I feel.

Morning Simon
You are correct sir, it is a triple layered high silicone content item I've been working on.
These are resin dipped conductors, a rather neat electrostatic screen between the primary & secondary windings which is tied to mains earth, and some alien poo material inside the potting compoun for centre fixing.

.....was just about to pull the trigger on a Carl Zeiss lens I'd been saving for.
As I hovered over the BIN button, I suddenly smelled a burning smell.
I roamed the house, but nothing....then...
"OLIVER!!!!"
The gaffer calls me from the laundry and smoke is billowing out of the washing machine.
New washing machine arrives Monday.
Bollocks.

Happy washing π

Last year our washing machine and fridge both packed in at the same time. This is when zero interest via AO is a blessing.. and finishes this month. I have to say that the new generation of washing machines are brilliant. The damned thing measures the weight of the load and puts the appropriate dose of liquid gloop in. Wizardry.

Yeah, I'd have loved 20years out of this one but it's been worked like beast for the last few years. Probably got 5 years out of it, which isn't great tbf
