yes we played limit to your love on them and yes they SHAKE your chest and the floor and the ceiling !!!! awesome Piqued my interest, but the speakers on my streaming setup won't be up to the job. So I've just ordered it on CD off the Amazon. Brand new, 2-CD "deluxe edition" for a little over 4 quid. CDs are so cheap these days There's no bass at all from it on my laptop speakers. Not my sort of thing anyway.

Might not be my sort of thing either, but when CDs are that cheap I'm happy to risk it for a biscuit. I could have got Alexa to play it for me for free, but that would spoil the surprise. My shelves are full of CD surprises that didn't work out, one more won't make much difference.

Found out my wifes Jaguar has been written off after the rear end shunt she was involved in a couple of weeks ago.
On one hand she's happy to get rid of the car (we were planning to change it anyway) but now we have the joys of finding something else.

Bonus is being paid forecourt replacement price for it, rather than getting offered the insulting PX value. Or even worse, dealing with muppets and tyre kickers trying to buy it for peanuts.

Been offered close to what we were offered for it as a trade in just before lock down in March 2020, don't think I'll bother haggling It's done an extra 30,000 miles since then as my wife worked all through covid being an essential worker.

yes mate, did his plinth inspire yours? No mate mine inspired his I took my TT down there for him to replace a cap and put a new torlon bearing on it , he also drilled my armboard for me while I was there. He measured my plinth against his and could clearly hear the resonances dying off quicker with Permali compared to his resin/bentonite plinth so he made one for himself . He’s a clever dude with a serious man shed of amazing machinery at his disposal. He’s now talking about making me a new arm base that clamps around the pillar more rigidly than the single grub screw . Wether it will increase resonance from the plinth is yet to be seen but it’s cheap enough to give it a go so a worthwhile experiment. Just need to send it down to him in asap.

Yeah he was an engineer for Marantz and then got into the measurements game where he would test things on at extremely small levels so he does have extensive knowledge and equipment at his disposal . And he’s also very open with his knowledge . He just wants everyone to have a good system so gives out any knowledge and expertise he has that he thinks might be useful to others . He saved my bacon when the TT went down and didn’t bend me over in the process . Top man .

Not sure whether to pursue injury claim as the recompense for whiplash is hardly worth the effort and expense. Suffer for up to 3 months and you can claim £400 or so and increases up to 6 months and so on. Compensation amounts were changed last May due to whiplash scammers, so the genuine injured ones now get next to nothing.

I’ve had two genuine whiplash claims and got about £2000 twenty five years ago and then about £1500 about 5 or 6 years ago.

Had the crappiest week imaginable... How are you getting on now? Safely out of hospital? Got released last night Jerry and so glad to be home. Finally had my brain scan yesterday morning and it was discovered I have a blockage in the carotid artery, so back in again next Monday for my Iliac blockages then in again on the 9th December to sort out the carotid issue. Much fun all round.

Sorry to hear that, Mikey. Best wishes for a rapid recovery. thanks However it pales in comparison to what Nonuffin has suffered, wishing him a speedy recovery too.

Yes he has had a rough time of it, hopefully with the treatment plan in place he can get sorted soon. Never been a worse time to be dependent on NHS resources imo. My position too pales in comparison - a 4 week-old laceration to my lower leg isn't healing as it should, and after spending 14 hours in A&E on Monday, it was decided I may have to go back today for intravenous antibiotics, which sounds to me like an overnight stay. Sat here at home waiting to hear back from them, I bet they've forgotten me!

Today I was forced to spunk £285 on a poxy fridge freezer. Rang a few repairers to see if they'd come have a look to see if could be fixed but when I found out the robbing shysters wanted between £90 & £115 + vat just to ring my doorbell, I bit the bullet and bought a new one. Well I figured if repairable I would be in the hole for £150 - £180 and if was fooked then it would be call-out fee + new FF.

As long as you were able to get rid of the old one - disposal can be a bugger, due to the gases inside I believe. Tip: leave it outside your house with a sign saying "For sale, £40 ono", and it'll disappear overnight, guaranteed

And you try telling the kids of today that...
