Today I'll be heading out with my youngest one to give her a hand to walk all her clients dogs, the rain is coming in at 45° Many of the roads in the county are closed due to flooding, so getting to the pooches is going to be an issue. Still it beats sitting in front of the fire in the gazebo listening to music 😂 And yes that is someone out cycling in the first photo. My wife works at home on a Friday and she loves working in front of that fire 😊

Pleased so far Well they are probably special order, as not many people have 3 hands. For a fraction of the cost you could just nail some £20 hair dryers to the wall with PIR sensors glued to them. A creative electrician could knock them up no bother but I expect the killjoys at Health & Safety would have a bit of a moan. So Carpetright gets a thumbs up? We're after some new carpets.

How are you getting on now rob? Still enjoying them? Yeah, defo, as I messaged when I'd plumbed it all in last night, was shocked at how good it sounded from the off, was expecting muddiness maybe, but bass was well tight on the tune I had on and just sounded flippin good. Went to bed with a big smile on my face but couldnt sleep as a result ha ha! Now I'm getting stuck in, albums going on, as to get some hours on the triple C, but can definitely hear the quality coming along - all the nuances and detail coming through already.... Been truly loving rediscovering the PD-91 and my fave cds, it and the Plinius are a match made in heaven, couldnt get enough but its time to get back to satisfying my vinyl front end addiction

.... came across scientific research at its very best and most profoundly useful. "A team of researchers at the Mayo Clinic has solved the mystery of why some people find their bowel movements floating while others find theirs sinking to the bottom of the toilet bowl." phys.org/news/2022-11-feces.html

Good to know that science is out there, pushing the boundaries.
I can drop a depth charge one day and a floater the next, how do they explain that?

just waiting for my neighbour to get up so I can put some music on. Hard to tell when he is up and about as he rarely makes any noise.
In meantime will do some crap jobs like the laundry and mop the kitchen floor.
Exciting times.

Didnt get the vinyl as that was £40 a sqare meter and way overpriced . got that locally for better price

Today someone suggested I play a James Blake track from his self titled album to check out the MLs lower bass prowess. The track was Limit to your love, DAMN it goes LOW!! I'd say around 23Hz, definitely gave my chest and belly a nice massage 😁😁😁. Give it a go and see how your speakers like it.

I think you need to send some samples round to Oli for testing. He's a busy man our Oli. I would suggest placing sample in a large envelope, place envelope on his doorstep, set fire to envelope, then ring the doorbell and run. That should get his attention

Then I get to play at levels that suit me. This is what you have to do when you're halfway deaf and your partner has hearing like a bat.

Oh blimey. My ears are still ringing after a 4 hour drive from Glasgow. Used to do that sort of thing all the time.. just not used to it. We did call in on a very old friend of ours we haven’t seen for 35 years. How on earth does that happen. Amazing to catch up though…almost as though we hadn’t had kids and a whole life in the interim.

To avoid all the "order now! To get it before Christmas!" bollox. Besides, I'm dreading it. We would have changed the carpet three or four years ago. but I just can't face shifting the furniture, hifi, surround stuff, and rather a lot of records, when there's nowhere to shift it all to. But I'm thinking the brownie points accrued will help with my new speakers/amp upgrade quest in the spring.

And when we lose touch with old friends and family... the weeks turn into months, months turn into years... I always used to think as I get older life will become simpler, less hectic, we'll have more time for friends, and stuff we want to do, rather than things we need to do... wrong!

So I've just ordered it on CD off the Amazon. Brand new, 2-CD "deluxe edition" for a little over 4 quid. CDs are so cheap these days
