Week 3 of renovating a retirement flat .impressed by sound insulation .the concrete floors have glued down carpet and underlay on top and more carpet . Very very quiet
Just awaiting permissions to change the water heater , upgrade kitchen and many other things .
Now a bit weary of decorating the whole thing from top to bottom .one nice thing is its in a nice part of town and not seen one beggar so far ...unlike every few yards where i live !!

I was going to offer a passive sub to anyone who wanted it.
Took the grille off in front of the driver to discover the surround had totally rotted so it's gone in the bin.

Today I fell 3 metres off a ladder, which isn't as much fun as it sounds. A four hour stay in A&E, no broken bones, just a huge down-to-the-bone gash on my shin. Docs recommends I put my feet up for a few days. Fine by me

@pigmypony Hope you are ok, a fall like that is still a shock to your body, take this putting your feet up seriously.

Thanks guys, yes I am taking it very easy, currently playing CDs. I'll leave the vinyl alone for a day or two, less getting up off the sofa

hifinutt When you say bloods, do you mean blood tests? Are you unwell and needed testing for something, I would have assumed these tests to be free.

Today I found out that the turntable I traded my Primaluna power amp for last Friday hasn’t even arrived at the shop yet ( it’s a trade in ).
I nearly told them to forget it.

mikeyb Good things come to those that wait, patience is a virtue ect ect. It may not be the shops fault, the customer trading in his tt may have had a problem just getting to the shop, who knows. I will say I thought someone would have purchased that lovely Prima Luna amp, it goes to show how difficult it is to sell gear nowadays.

Mrs. Pony will be pleased, I just don't tell her half of what I do cos she worries.

I mistook dealer saying that he'd just need to go collect it and then drop it off here meant within the next few days As for virtues, patience isn't one of them, however the ones I do have are anger, frustration, directness, always right, heartless, stubbornness, grumpy, moody..... You get the picture 😂

After many years of waiting I finally have a date for my operation next month to cure the peripheral arterial disease I suffer from. Sod's Law says that on the day it might be cancelled as the local hospital is frequently wont to do. Where I live has a slope in the road around 1 in 50 for only 50 feet but even that defeats me and I have to sit down half way up.

what is the op they are doing?

I'd like to see Sod's Law come down with some debilitating condition, see how he likes it.
