I found the Evolution blade to be fine for what I needed it to do, but as you say it is multi-material, so probably a Jack-of-all-trades. Never had any teeth go AWOL though.
You probably are already aware of this, but... because of the nature of power saw blades, you'll normally find the cleaner cut edge to be on the underside of the material you're cutting (opposite to a handsaw). No big deal if you're going to smooth the burrs of anyway.

I can tell you just by looking at the alloy why it broke.
When you cut it next time, place it so the alloy is edge down, ie high in the middle on the upside. Like an inverted V.
Alloy is soft and grabs teeth, so it needs to be positioned correctly for the best cut and clamped firmly.
Make your cut downwards, not on the backstroke.

Simon.clark@evolutionpowertools.com I did what this fella did: First cut with point nearest the backstop lost seven teeth. Being me, I then did another with the point nearest to me, lost another three. Lay it flat on its long side, small edge pointing up against the back stop....no other teeth lost. All the same blade. Clamping down every time.

Been replacing some broken and cracked CD cases with new ones My method is cheaper - I take a good CD case from one of Anita's, and swap it for my broken one. So far she hasn't rumbled me

Yeah that is deffo a better method. The new CD cases are just as crappy as the old ones and they aren't especially cheap either. I've bought actual CDs for less than these cases cost per unit.

Cds can be bought for peanuts at car boot sales, especially ones that no one would listen too, like anything by Robbie Williams. Get a job lot with decent cases, then chuck away the discs.

Anyway car boot desert round here and the charity shop want a pound each for their Robbie CDs.

I think I might need to buy another box of them, I've got a lot more busted ones than I thought.
On the plus side my copies of 'Use Your Illusion I' and 'Two Against Nature' are now in cases with lids for the first time in about a decade.
They were the worst issue but got loads where they still have a lid, it just won't firmly attach to the rest of the case. So it looks okay but when you pick it up it comes apart in your hands. That's been winding me up for ages.
These new ones no better made than the old so no doubt will break in due course. I'd happily pay a premium for more robustly designed and made cases but no-one seems to offer such a thing.

No Robbie CDs in our charity shops, they won't take 'em. I had a bag of peanuts from the Aldi last night, they were quite cheap. And even came covered in chocolate.

I do the music in my local Oxfam and get loads of CDs that we will not sell as there is no market for them. If someone came in asking for CD cases I could give them loads for a small donation. Suggest you ask at your local Oxfam or similar.

Might be worth a try but looking at the CDs in the local charity shops I suspect that they put out for sale everything they get given. If not then god knows what musical horrors they have sat in the stock room

@cageyh I hope you are dragging your rock through plastic grooves. I've got to ask, why have you chosen the Zen Mini, I know it has had good reports?

Try looking for Bluesound - if storage needed then the Bluesound Vault is what you want, Amazon music is not available on a lot of devices ( natively anyway ), so you need to find those first then narrow down your preferred device.

My home built Pc runs it, so I am happy to stick with that. It was just an opportunity as I need a new NAS/Home server, so thought I could use the PC for this, and add a dedicated audio device.
