We don't have a landing, but we could still do to drag our hoover out again. I saw the words 'drag' and 'hoover', and pictured you in place of Freddie in that Queen video.

@pigmypony I'm afraid your little joke has fallen on stony ground this time because I haven't the faintest what video you are talking about since I am not a Queen fan.

That's the first time I've said it I'm not a Queen fan either, but I am aware of the existence of that vid. And now you are too!

Today I regretted buying a "well reviewed" mitre saw blade..... Cutting 2.5mm aluminium, which I specifically bought it for. One cut later....7 teeth missing. It's going back tomorrow

Frigging dangerous, it's also cracked between the 2 teeth behind the relief slot.

They should cope....its not like I'm building the Forth Bridge is it.

@bigman80 another vote for Trend aluminium and plastic blade. Mine happily did many 100s of cuts through Ally, plastic and wood. Cuts 10mm ally with no fuss
You need a TCP (Triple Chip Profile) tungsten carbide blade.

I have an Evolution chop saw, and have used the blade that came with it to cut cills for Ally bi-fold doors. Coped fine.

Did you buy a multi-material or the aluminium specific blade Oli?
Also did you check that the bore sizes matched, the evo blades are sometimes smaller bore 22.2mm

Did you buy a multi-material or the aluminium specific blade Oli? Also did you check that the bore sizes matched, the evo blades are sometimes smaller bore 22.2mm This is the one; TCT21080TTCG Saxton TCT Circular Saw Blade 210mm x 80T x 30mm Bore (16, 20, 25mm and 25.4mm Ring) Aluminium Laminate Hardwood amzn.eu/d/8WyzpIXThe blade said it would be ok for up to 4mm aluminium on another website, but alas ... Seems not. New blade is this one: Evolution Power Tools R210TCT-24T (Rage) Multi-Material TCT Blade Cuts Wood, Metal and Plastic, 210 mm amzn.eu/d/d4UtMTzThis one is 25.4mm bore, which is exactly the size I need. If this one explodes, I think I may have to look into other ways to cut aluminium angle. I wouldn't mind, but it's literally only 3mm! I cut the last 6 pieces by hand and used the same 25p blade lol. It needs to be a nice straight cut as these are going into a BT2 and a one box, so I thought a saw blade would make life easy. Glad I had my goggles on!
