Only money as you say, nice to be able to buy more or less what you want when you want though?
Cars and exotic watches are still a considered purchase of course but good to know you've got the wherewithal.

Watches could be an investment, new cars are almost always not an investment.
I have the same problem, once I get a bit of money I start looking around for stuff to spend it on. It's a bad idea.

Go back to your post saying you weren’t going to buy any non essentials.....even a can of coke. 2. Print out a copy this post and a pic of the Camaro and stick them somewhere you can see when you go to sleep and when you wake up. 3. Live up to your promise for a few months and you’ll have a valuable asset that won’t lose you money and will give you far more pleasure than mountains of consumables that you will never see a penny back from.

u know my first digital watch was in summer 1978 it was a seiko. it cost me 105 quid from a store in romford . it took me about a year to save that money up..mainly by washing cars and golfball hunting them selling em at the harold wood golf course. i loved that watch..had it untill about 5 years ago. no idea where it is now

This one’s of similar vintage. I recently put a new battery in it and it was working, seems to have died again.

My father had one of the original digital watches where you had to push the button and squint to see what time it was. Red LED. Think he got it in Hong Kong. Worth a few quid now although no idea what happened to it. He had a Seiko very similar to the one above too. I think that was the upgrade to the first one.

we got about 22 grand in the bank now after that credit card 10 year bonus has gone in. still no point ffs..got nothing to buy..could do with a new ssd pooter in my tv room but the old mac hdd is just about still going.. but since january we have spent
17k on me lads micro car 4k on his moped. 600 quid on his moped licsence 1500 quid on his new pooter screens and pooter desk 2 grand on the pond 600 quid on a new washing maching.
almost 26 grand spent in 7 months ffs..we need to save really so that's what we're gonna do for the next 8 months. around 3 grand a month untill march ..almost 30 grand we should save by then if nothing goes wrong ffs. so enough for the camaro if it goes ahead.. tell u this my last 5 years at work it will be hermit living all the way untill retirement. wont spend a single penny on anything.. as stated in another post there is no way on earth i would retire with less than 100k in the bank.. we got the house which is worth about 400k but it's our home and i dont think we'll ever sell it

I really don’t like spending money and I hate loads of possessions around me. Anything I buy is either heavily discounted or used and at a knockdown price. My hifi has cost me nothing thanks to box swapping stuff I bought cheap.

Time to start saving some cash. I spent more than that last year on new tiles for the roof of my house, as they had to be changed.

the key regarding money is simple
everyone should have the goal of not owing anyone a single penny...forget cars bikes n hifi..pay off all debts first then u can buy that new car or some hifi.. paying off your mortgage has to be ya number one financial goal...after that everything u want is childs play.
here in sweden almost nobody owns anything lol..flash cars big flash house all owned by the banks..i heard from marie swedes are even loaning money on their houses to buy places in spain lol..this free money culture we've had for the last 11 years is gonna go bang soon..these twats are gonna be bankrupt..bring it on i say..15% interest rates means we get richer and richer. imagine rates at 15% with all these twats here in mega debt?
