Just read the listing. So you can use any laptop supply? I have at least 5. Should I just use one of those?

Just read the listing. So you can use any laptop supply? I have at least 5. Should I just use one of those? DC voltage is best between 12v and 18v. Polarity is likely to be critical. I don't know if you saw the YouTube benchtest I showed here a while back:

Thanks for the video. I hadn’t watched it, I will check polarities. My laptop supplies all range between 16 and 19v AFAIR.

The laptop power supplies may do the job, but the DC plugs tend to vary a lot in centre pin hole size and shank outer diameter, so may not fit. The supply I linked to comes with a variety of plugs to choose from (the blue one fits).

Thanks, Geoff, I may as well just get one, I'll be interested in your opinion once you get the amp. My Spicas are a 4 ohm load but I have other kit and I will tread carefully. I guess it will be a few weeks before it arrives.

I’m surprised they haven’t added a headphone socket and charged more. I could see a real market for that.
