No, not yet. Won't be fine until Tuesday. I'm off down to Angus' to get some tapped holes drilled in the heatsinks. Whilst I'm there, we'll knock it up and get it running. I'm still not entirely happy doing power supplies for power amps....not sure why, but the more I do it with an expert at hand, the better I'll feel.

I think that's wise. Apparently just 0.1 ampere for 2 seconds across the heart can kill.
I only did it once that was enough to learn me to steer clear in future. A good man knows his limitations.

"we'll knock it up and get it running" We are talking about an amplifier here aren't we?

Time is running out for today and we haven't managed to get as far as we'd like. The main thing I wanted to get done are nearly finished. The PSU is done, and looks beastly. The heatsinks are currently being drilled and tapped and apart from that, it looks like another day is required. Here's a pic to keep you going.

Individual rectifiers for each rail, such profligacy.
Looking good. I see your capacitor banks are 'mirrored', whoo.

Are you using crimp connectors? I thought they would be soldered directly?

Are you still planning to remove the Molex-type connectors and solder inputs and outputs directly? That was the plan, however as Tom rightly predicted, they do not budge easily. After an attempt at removing them, we abandoned it. I will now solder directly to the pins, but I'm going to try and get as close to the PCB as possible in hope of getting a bit of solder in contact with the through hole. Best I can do.

Ok, so numpty question , what's the advantage of dual bridge rectifiers on each rail?
