Knowing what those things tend to cost, (which is a lot), that is a billy bargain - looks proper too imo

That looks excellent for the money Just noticed that the 3rd feedback states that the rack has 'levelling feet' which is a great addition

Very nice and a bargain, have to agree not keen on the silver legs with the maple but they could be spray painted in any colour you wanted. Looks like the stand comes with rubber feet which could well be ok, will spikes/pucks make it better, I don't know. If you were thinking of pucks for the actual equipment to stand on, I've ordered a set of these at $9.49 www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002695389826.html?spm=a2g0o.9042311.0.0.79cf4c4ddAfhLxI've already purchased a sheet of rubber for something else, and may stick the rubber to the bottom of these spikes, a cheap solution and something for anything more expensive to beat.

Was looking at those exact ones myself Dave, I like the idea of them being wooden too absorbing some resonance naturally and not transmitting as much of it into the frame of the rack. I have subs pretty close to both my racks and although somewhat isolated themselves there's no way to completely decouple them from anything on the floor in the room, well not without some serious outlay but it can get a bit silly overthinking and overspending it sometimes.

That is great value, nice to see.
Racks are like a lot of accessories in Hi-Fi, you take something ubiquitous and therefore cheap (shelves) and modify it in the slightest way to adapt it to a specific purpose, all of sudden you get charged a ridiculous amount for it. but because everyone does it, you have no choice but to pay it. Bravo Monoprice for bucking the trend!

Those wooden spikes are copies of a Japanese design, could have been Yamamoto, but they were a damn sight more expensive. I recommended these a couple of days ago, and it was Rabski who said they would not isolate, that's why I thought sticking some rubber underneath, also I have some hard foam like stuff you can put under washing machines which is about 4mm thick.

Bollocks! Black has sold out now I come to buy one. Think it was sold out when I first found them this morning mate. Don't feel too bad, I bought one for £100 then it said about the 20% off code (which only became apparent after purchase) so had to cancel the order and buy another one with the code applied. . . . refund doesn't turn up for a few days so I'm out of pocket annoyingly The "expresso" one is pretty nice to look at to be fair, although the pine one would match my other rack more . . . If it's as good as it looks I might sell my other rack and buy another one of these to match.

Look very respectable though!

"I'd want black to match my speakers" As I said earlier about the metal poles, could you spray paint the shelves before putting it together. Sorry messed up this post, it was Bigman who said:-

I was tempted but wary of only an inch of clearance above my power amp and it’s 14 valves ( 8 x 7581a and 6 x 12au7).
Looks a great buy though.

After the 5 attempts it took for me to make a half decent job of the fireplace, I think I'll leave this alone lol

I can't rest mate. If I do anything and it isn't perfect, it plays on my mind. However, if I buy something and it isn't perfect, I don't seem to care at all
For the sake of my sanity, I will just wait and see if they get any more in.

UPDATE - This arrived within a couple of days of ordering. For £80.00 delivered it's one of the biggest hi-fi bargains I've ever seen. It's massive (as you can see from the LP sleeve for scale), it's very heavy (reassuringly so) and it's incredibly easy to put together. Takes about 10 minutes to dis and re-assemble. Very well built, manufacturing is spot on, everything fits together perfectly, no cheap chipboard style IKEA flat pack stuff here, this is real quality. Fit's my equipment on easily and the bottom shelf could fit a huge power amp on it no problem at all. Probably doing a good job of isolating the equipment on it too as it's made of wood and has real weight to it. Very impressed and very happy, probably going to buy another one to be fair. Thumbs up from me.

One I grabbed off Alan as he removed all the gubbins just leaving the Ice Power modules so it's effectively just a power amp. 100-120w I think, Class D, it's not bad at all actually, possibly a bit flat and sterile but that's in comparison to the 686. I do actually prefer the sound of my other Class D amp but that's just a personal thing. The shelving unit is very VERY dark and almost black from a few feet away . . . but I know you're unlikely to deviate from your requirement albeit only minor aesthetics (I have that with other stuff too but weirdly not with much hifi?!)

It's still a bargain at that price. Yeah I agree (although I would owning one!). I was actually going to have a word with the guy I was speaking to there (after I accidentally ordered two!) about continuing the discount for forum members if they were interested. Can't promise anything but he seemed very happy for my business at least. I also told him I had posted about the deal on the forum and he was quite grateful. I'll give him an email to inquire anyway.
