Three grand isn't that bad a price. You can pay a lot more than that for some right clunkers.
All TT prices have gone crazy in the last few years. Even plasticky belt drive decks from 1980s Jap rack systems are fetching over a ton now. You couldn't give them away at one time.

Tbf, it's unlikely you'd ever buy another turntable after buying it, also, it's not gonna go down in value. It's an investment. Judging by modern day pricings I've earned 200% value on mine. |

A mint condition SL1200 Mk2 sold for £750 on ebay on Xmas eve. I paid £200 for my just as minty one back in 2010.
Even allowing for inflation that's tripled in value.

No plans to sell it I couldn't imagine not having any turntables.
I also said that prices would go up when they were discontinued so I bought two, one of which Alan now has (or had I don't know if he still has it).
Not to make money but because I liked the first one so much I didn't want to be left high and dry if it failed some years on. I'd end up paying a fortune for another one and thinking 'Why didn't I just get a spare one back when people were giving them away?'

been tweaking a arcam a75 with my taus . using the black ice dac and pretty good mains cables with a copper star earthed mains block . the sound is one of the best i have heard with these speakers . extremely enjoyable and shocking really for the bargain price of these amps . very very good indeed . in fact i am blown away by it !!

took various stuff back to dealer and a rather nice norma audio ipa 70b was in session with some amphion argon one . very impressive sound from this beautifully built amp . actually bought one home to try so will do a thread and some pics soon
