Me too! Alright, I’ll see if I can set up a group private chat. Would everyone want 2 (and share out the spares if it’s only 3 of us)? why a private chat? im in for 2 please. I dunno, I thought it was best not to clog up the thread with logistics of the purchase etc. Nice one. That’s 8/10 so far. I’m perfectly happy to buy the 10 and keep two spare or sell on if no one else is interested.

Good clear photos, looks just like mine to my eyes, 100% feedback and he is open to offers. There are others with much more valve knowledge than me though.

I’ll leave it until later to see if there’s another taker for the other 2 (I’m assuming everyone else wants 2 as well, besides me and Pete), then I’ll get something organised between us.

The Siemens PCC88 group buy has been initiated! If a 5th person is interested there are 2 going spare, but a couple of us are happy to have a spare, if not. Hopefully should not be more then £15 a piece, so shout if you’re interested.
Also picked myself up that TFK ECC83.

So after my recent enjoyable experience with thier ecc83 I just ordered some Tungsram pcc88s out of curiosity, not too expensive so will report back when they have had a run out.

It’s a day and probably 6-7 hours of play into the new valves (2* Siemens PCC88 and a TFK ECC83). The difference is immediately obvious. At this stage I’m hearing a little extra resolution and dynamics and a slightly juicer timbre, but notably tighter and more detailed bass. That grabbed me right from the off.
I can’t tell you what is attributable to which valve as I didn’t have the patience to experiment one at a time, but I like the overall change and am looking forward to hearing as things break in.

That's the combination I have been using in mine forever. Superb resolution and detail, With natural levels of meat on the bone. Glad to hear the standard recommended valves are working well so far.

Great to hear the new valve are doing so well, looking forward to trying the Siemens in my BB3. Looking like the group buy was a great success!

I have a set of those. Can't remember if they are currently fitted or not though... Well they are sounding pretty good so far, give the music some real dynamics. Have to put a few hours on them though.

They look like they were made yesterday, two Tungsram ECC82's were the first tubes I purchased to tube roll, unfortunately have yet to try them since they are in the uk, I've since bought a ECC83 as well.

Today is a sad day. I think my Tungsram ECC83 foil getter has popped it’s clogs…. It was a lovely sounding valve as well.
