Mine doesn’t have those numbers (serial) on the side. Is it fake? The other one thats on its way for delivery has.

If you are in any doubt, contact the seller and raise your concerns...he/she may have some knowledge that we done. I questioned the guy who I bought mine off and he sent a very thorough reply which included historical evidence of its origins. He even showed me how to read the code.

All telefunken made at Berlin or ulm had the diamond bottom. If it doesn’t have that it’s a rebranded one. They did sometimes outsource if they couldn’t meet Quotas apparently.
It’s Could be a Siemens one although the way you’re PCC88 is printed is smaller and slightly further down than mine and Olis ones?
They did move the production out to EI in Yugoslavia later in the 70s so could be one of those.
Oli, Is it possible the getter may look different as they are two different valves types ? That other pic you posted is a ecc83 ?

Why havent i ever thought of cleaning the pins on a valve? ?? Thanks for this Jayson, i will now be cleaning all the pis on my valves lol. Now, i know they used to make a little wire brush for this exact purpose......off to ebay
