Just an AT95ex which is more than respectable. I will be interested to hear Kevins AT95 specials he has leant for evaluation.

The one in the Denon replacement body is a VM-95. The one in the wooden body is an AT-95.

Just to point out....those cables were terminated as requested lol Absolutely, and they were to just get me by with Helens rig which has RCA connector speaker inputs. They certainly did not hold back my speakers and as I said they will be slotted into my proper system when I get it back together as I think they could sound rather good.
As a not so serious bake off comparison between my speakers and the Sony SS40 that come with Helens rig where do I begin....?
All i would say is that the SS40's do sound highly constrained boxes, bright breezy but very limited in their scope. I would like to pop some LS3/5as in to try in their place or an KEF LS50?
The SP2's....well they just sound like pipe and slippers..  |

Yes. They replaced the AT95, with a good selection of styli.
The Shibata stylus is an LP Gear one. AT have now launched one on the VM series, but I think the ML is the sweet spot.

Eg. When at Angus’s place listening to my SP10 for the first time he played me MARC Cohn’s Walking in Memphis. Hadn’t realised what a great record that was. I’d convinced myself that I had it on vinyl. Turned the place upside down today to discover that I didn’t! Must have had it on cd.
No problem.. just buy one. Sh#t - cheapest one is about £65.
Until I can scout the oxfam shops again I’ll just have to stream it.
But it doesn’t sound as good as the vinyl now..🥴
Unless... and it starts all over again!
