I applied for a job with Superfi back in about 1990 or 1991. Didn't get it. They asked me what my system was and were distinctly unimpressed when I told them. They wouldnt even know what my system is lol They'd have known your turntable. That alone probably get you the job.

Had a busy day myself James , what with refurbishing my kitchen , listening to some music , and networking with like-minded people Somehow your day seems much more interesting than mine when written down like you have

My day was bonkers...
Spent a good hour texting a fellow audiophile, another 20 minutes trading ideas with another, answering emails about the phonostage and then accompanied the wife around Aldi.
Then it was soldering iron out, drill out and an hour looking for a heatsink of the right size on the net.
Then ordered that last few bits to finish the PCB on the MK3.
Post office and school run followed
2 dog walks and reassembled my system after Saturdays trials when Tony visited.
Liverpool match and now rewatching Fury v Wilder before a bit of Kip.
I can't wait to go back to work for a rest lol

I would have shared how busy my day was yesterday, but I didn't have time.
A lot of time was spent in meetings discussing composite toilet installation issues. How terribly exciting....
I didn't even have time to turn the system on....

Slow day so far just a quick peruse of Daily Audiophile. Nice review of the QUAD Headphone amplifier which looks rather tasty and a review of the 2M Red which came out yonks ago.
I am considering upgrading Helens Garrard SP25 as the stylus needs replacing but I cant think of a replacement for the excellent AT95EX which has been replace 4 times on this turntable.
The tonearm is very light aluminium construction ( Flimsy and lots of cheap plastic!) so if anyone has a left field suggestion for a cartridge to suit that may better the AT95EX I would be interested.

Failing that, you could have fun with the existing 95, fitting it in a DL-103 body, filling the cavities with wax and fitting a cut down stylus. It looks cool, and sounds pretty good to my ears.
If you want to try a Shibata version, let me know. Oli may be interested in having a play with it as well.

If you want to try before irreversible changes to the stylus are done, let me know. I can get it in the post.
