That's a piece of Long Grain Rice, a BF861C Fet and a resistor for the new Fet boards....

Unless you have an absolutely pristine work bench (and floor) you will never find 'lost' 0603 resistors. It's bad enough looking for the transistors if they ping out of the tweezers.

Haha might have bought one if I'd realised. Probably takes me 10x as long but just about back up to speed with estimating and a pair of pliers lol

Any news on cost for the paralleled FET boards and when they might become available?

Yeah true, but, apart from one of the diodes and resistors that haven't arrived yet, I've pretty much done all my forming unless I build anything else......

A bit more pissing about today... Fitted the ultra cool little silicone PCB mounts...thanks for the Tip Andy! I also realise I offered you halves on a set, but I ended up buying enough for me and a building i am doing. I also realise I never sent a message saying so....oops. My bad Anyway, snapped up a set of the little purple CSA Clarity Caps. Nice little things and if I'm honest, possibly allow a bit more of a floaty presentation than the Vishays I had in before. They were used so pre run in but I am very happy with what I am hearing so far as it's not a backwards step and that hasnt always been the case with capacitors. Bass is a bit less chunky....its cool. Also used a bit of permanent marker on the back of the case and then lacquered over it as an experiment....seeing as it's on the back, ot doesn't really matter does it lol

Oli, next time you spin the boards why not replace the regs with the 5 pin lt3081 and lt3081 models, lower drop out, smaller heatsinks, better line and load regulation and much improved transient response...
Itll need space for a couple more resistors.
