Had a great day out on the patio in the garden after church. Hot, blue sky, bright sunshine, surrounded by green, nature, parakeets whizzing about. Tunes all afternoon / evening, cold Peroni and a lovely outdoor dinner - been a fab day

Well I paid the mortgage off last week, and haven't touched anything from my dad's estate since he passed. Not a universal Solution though...

Today I got stung by a wasp.
Againβ¦.
I have now destroyed another two nests in the garden. There are probably more.
There seem to be a lot of wasps this year, and they seem quite agressive.

How I feel about mice and rats Our neighbour is a filthy beast and she must have mice and stuff in her house. Every now and again we get a rodent intruder. We have the most vicious traps i have ever seen. not becaus i hate them or anything, but because i want their end to be swift. It was in the bin in the bedroom and it woke the gaffer up. next day, blob of peanut butter on the trap and within 3 minutes it came for it and was brown bread. No mercy

I hear you Olster. I dont have a heart to be cruel to any creature but with mice and rats you have to be swift to action otherwise you've had it.

get shut of the useless dog and replace it with a cat - rodent problem solved and no need to bath it, cut its fur or take it for walks.

According to the internet the following eat wasps:
A wide variety of creatures eat wasps, from insects and invertebrates like dragonflies, praying mantis, spiders, centipedes to birds such as mockingbirds, sparrows, nighthawks and starlings, reptiles and amphibians like lizards and geckos, and mammals such as mice, weasels, badgers, and black bear
Interestingly mice are on the list. But they are being eaten by the snakes presumably before they can have a decent stab at the wasps.
Any local eastern European should be able to direct you to someone who can supply a black bear but you have to ask yourself if that is worth the effort and the potential jail sentence. Plus it would scare the children. prowling about the grounds, growling and swiping at things. It can have your face off if you're not careful.
You can't get rid of the snakes because them you'll be overrun with mice and although the wasp problem will be solved you now have a worse situation. You could use cats to kill the mice but then the wasps will come back as cats won't go at them.
So that's the ecological solutions out of the question.
The answer, as it often turns out to be, is a flamethrower. Torch the bastards.

I have seen a praying mantis in the garden. I will have a look to see if I can find one, and place it near the wasps.
I think we may have a colony of wasps in the space between the bitumen tiles and the wooden roof. There are certainly a lot less of the around today, and I have now placed a few traps around the shed to see if I can trap the rest.
What with the mole traps, the mosquito trap and now wasp traps, it seems like I am waging war against nature.

I especially like this quote:- He is the director and owner of Absolute Sounds, a hifi 'distributor' (a poncing, middleman, parasite company) that specialises in leeching 'added value' from people who could actually deal directly with the manufacturer (go figure...) From experience I would never purchase any item from this distributor, once he's got your money it's 'f-ck you'

That AS website thing just reads like the ramblings of a madman. I bet Ricardo is shitting himself, not....... The only thing that surprises me is that he has only a paltry 3000 punters on his list. Anyway, in other news, today I fitted a new 3D printed power switch to my Audiolab cd transport.

Depends on how much money you are owed I suspect Simon does different things to different people. I know of other companies have pursued people through the courts for a lot less, for some it is a prinicple point I feel.
How are you findig using a 3D printer Simon?, we find them invaluable.
