waited from 12 pm till 8.45 for emergency plumber to attend water coming through a ceiling roof , thank goodness they came but would not be surprised if ceiling did not come down !!! happy days ... extremely stressful situation for many reasons Oh no! Is this in your house or one of the ones you manage? no its a house of a deceased person i looked after , when they were very vulnerable this person weedled their way into staying there for nothing , now many months later no one can get rid of them as they pull every trick in the book , they are very very difficult to deal with putting in complaints and causing stress .

Today I had a couple of hifi mates over for a listen to the Heco Direkts. I thought I'd got them setup about right after 5 days of dicking with them, anyway they both decided the speakers needed moving closer together. I didn't want to do that as felt visually it would annoy me if I moved them to the degree they wanted, we finally came to a compromise and I moved them away from the sidewall by 5" each. DAMN!!! What a difference. Everything fell into place, the sounstage opened up, the sound took on a greater sense of ease, bass Was faster and tighter, there's a greater sense of air and detail. The sound is now open and refined but with warmth, richness and superb tonality. These Heco Direkts are keepers

MLs, detailed and authoritative but very in your face compared to system 2 which ended up changing my sonic signature needs from S1.
Toy Towers (Vs ML), more open, much richer, detailed, better tonality but bass a bit lacking in weight & punch. Almost what I wanted to achieve and could have happily lived with until I eventually moved house and had ++££s.
Heco Direkts (Vs TTs), deep tight authoritative punchy bass, great detail, air and tonality, with the right amount of warmth and richness. They seem to have an openness and ease to the sound that just does it for me at this point in my hifi journey. They've given me a music system with hifi attributes, rather than a hifi that plays music.

Fitted this rather gorgeous looking little Beastie today, I must say it sounds awesome on the 401. Also looking into a PX deal which will see me scoring a Per Winfield Ti and parting with the Cadenza Blue. Do I need a second highend cart. No, but since when has the word need had anything to do with this madness we indulge in. Still I have a buyer lined up for my Hana ML, so just need to put the Benz Ace SH & AT 540ML up for sale.

Today has been hectic to say the least, one of the conditions of having the seond storage unit here was I had to replace the good ladies car, so tomorrow she is going to collect her condition, suddenly the wallet feels some what less contented!

Have been sat here this afternoon with a couple of hifi mates listening to choons and disecting the possible change from 2 way to the 3 way Heco Direkts. After a couple of hours I asked them a straight Yes or No question: Other than, because I can or just for shits and giggles, from what your hearing today is there a valid reason to make the change. In tandem, they both said No, no reason at all to change. Having made the decision, I must admit I'm relieved, the system is sounding bloody fantastic to my ears (and I guess theirs).

What price a quiet life Mr C? 🤣 To be fair the original car she purchased new in 2003 and hasn't been used since 2016, so she hasn't been unreasonable. Found a very nice low milage C class 250D with heated seats (no deal otherwise lol) full service history and its in cracking condition, 12 months warranty for a sensible cost. Now she is just working out these new fangled navi screens lol.
Mind you it did look a little lopsided on the driveway in her favour, so it seemed only fair I find a similar mode of transportation to keep things all nice and equal

It's a great place to be. Contentment and wanting for nothing is what we strive for! Kick back and wallow in the music.

Dentist @ 11.20 this morning, I recently changed practices due my previous one been taken over at Christmas, and they wishing for £4k for one gold inlay and two crowns FFS. The new practice just 4 miles away, fantastic lady dentist did a full oral health check and x rays, found two issues the previous one missed, gave me a treatment plan which I started today. What can I say wow a real professional and such a nice set up. Confidence 500%
Strugging to find a fault on a Gold Note PH10 phono stage, don't you just love intermittent faults lol!
Treated myself to a new set of waterproof mats for the new ride, going to dentist eariler I encounters 8 inches of water in the car park in CSG, bloody Hs2 has fooked up the water table!! so the car was kept nice and shite free!

Hi Phil,
Its not the previous was bad in any way, however they were taken over at Xmas, and the first question they now ask you is 'are you happy with your smile?' My reply was simple the £30+K you are looking for implants isn't an options with my usual succint repost :-)

True enough Dave, I don't know Phil personally, but if I had to nominate someone to see the positives in pretty much anything, he'd be my pick! Always great reading your positive take on things Phil.

Phil is one of life's genuinely decent people & all round good egg, and Chris obversation is spot on I seriously have never heard Phil put anything or one down. The eternal optimist, even when life grinds against you. Having know him for pretty close to 20 years now, he has never changed once, quite a feat of mental ability sir!

ah AO online are a domestic appliance company that also collect and recycle stuff at 30 quid an item like a fridge ... you try getting rid of a fridge !!
energy performance certificates are done every 10 years and needed for selling a house
and finally many folks listening to Andrew wakefield trying to persuade folks MMR caused autism , we now have a measles outbreak partially because of that . trying to counteract his rubbish and also some dont like the pig gelatine in one measles vaccine . there is a non pig one though
