Off out for a walk if the rain can keep off for an hour or so. The whole place is going green ! All the walls in North Yorkshire now have moss all over the shady sides. Deffo something is changing fast.

Colne. . F#ck that online shopping. Last time I got about 5 items I picked and 60 substitutes. Plus it took me about 2 hours. I takes me about 15 minutes to blast round Sainsbury's. ( add an hour at the till queue I suppose. ) Colne? Go through there on my way to and from work at the mo, whereabouts is it?

Main street. At the front left corner of the indoor market as you look at it from the street. Feller called Kevin has it. Tell him Ivor sent ya. 👍
Kev is only there on Saturdays though. He runs another place in Nelson . His lad runs Colne through the week. It's harder to get a customer ( discount) relationship going with the lad as he doesn't own it loik.

Deffo something is changing fast. I remember in the 1990s rainfall in North Yorks was so low that they were saying if the trend carried on the area would have to be re-classified as 'desert'. Of course it was just a cycle and it ended, but there was mucho bollocks spouted about it being a 'permanent change in the climate.'
In Australia they decided it was never going to rain again so they took all the money earmarked for flood defences and instead spent it on desalination plants. Then it rained like a bastard and flooded everywhere.

A couple of months ago, they (whoever 'they' are) were going on about the sun entering a period of low activity which would lead to a mini ice age. No sign of it yet, but solar cycles are not a new thing.
Personally, I think the bulk of what we are being fed with regard to the climate is scaremongering bollocks and agenda driven, not to mention the big bucks to be made. Climate change has always been cyclic, sometimes with periods of greater, more extreme change than others.
Needless to say, it is fashionable to vilify anybody who goes against the flow.

True enough. But I was in Malta this year and we couldn't swim because of the pollution. Much of which was plastic. To say we don't need to do summat is a bit dim. . I remember a few years ago though , that prick Alex Salmon planning to sell the English Scottish water coz the scientists said that in future we were gonna be as dry as Nicola Sturgeons twat !

What anyone with a brain questions is whether the tiny amount of CO2 that mankind's activities produce will have a catastrophic effect.
Consider that of all the CO2 emitted into the atmospheres each year man is responsible for just 3 percent of it. That's NASA's figure. Now consider that CO2 in the air is approx. 410 parts per million - in other words there's not a lot of it to begin with and what we add in is infinitesimal. - But it's going to destroy the planet and kill us all. Evidence for this causal link? Nope. Sorry, they don't have any yet.
It's not climate science, it's climate religion and the more sociopathic the adherents the less they know about the subject.

Coming from someone who believes that smoking loose Tobacco is much healthier than smoking manufactured cigarettes and doesn't make one really stink like they do, weeeeelllll I think that I shall ignore your own 'evidence' such as it is.

"sociopathic", I like that. Strange that the less information people have and the vaguer it is, the more intent they seem on believing what little they have, regardless of accuracy, if any (in my opinion).

Let's get this right then. Regardless of dishonest politicians spreading propaganda for vested reasons , ie diesel cars being the baddies after they were the goodies bollocks ... and scientists grabbing Grants to keep themselves in a cushy job talking shite for another year .. which I fully admit happens ... do you reckon we should just keep going as we are then ? I just want to instill in my head some opinions of different people here that's all. Being a newbie an that. Y'know ... which people to take serious and that like as it were sort of thing.

Straight in with the personal attack I see. That's because you don't know the first thing about the subject so you don't have any other form of response. Par for the course. I've never met anyone who believes in man made climate change who has even a basic knowledge of the subject. Which says it all really.

Today I.....
......stayed at home looking after my sick daughter, who has chicken pox. I hope my chicken pock I had when I was younger to stop me getting ill, as it is pretty nasty when you are older.
I now wish I had gone to the record fair yesterday!

Awwwww Blesss, it's the AOS off the reservation Mod tag team, As both of you are neither informed or competent enough to make any credable comment on the vast amount of scientific evidence published on this rather important subject then your posts are worthless. The link I posted was merely one of several sources of scientific evidence that I could have posted, who are you going to counter with? Donald Trump. oh and by the way Macca, your comments regarding your smoking habits are a matter of your own record elsewhere so how can merely repeating them be regarded as a personal attack!

If you disagree with me then I'd expect you to tell me where I'm wrong. Not go off at a tangent and tell me something else you think I once said was wrong.
'Vast amount of scientific evidence' - yes - evidence that the climate changes. Now show me evidence that climate has anything to do with man made CO2 emissions. That's the bit where the evidence is lacking. It's not a religion for me, I'm happy to change my opinion on the subject if I'm sufficiently convinced.

I am sure you have met many, its just that I realised on AOS after wasting hours before I gave up that your definition of having knowledge on the subject is to agree with you. You did also post some time ago that you were not clever enough to be an engineer, but seems you believe you are qualified to be a climate scientist.

Today I am going to play with an Accession MC phono stage, as I have one sitting in my cupboard of loan scheme items, and I have another day at home looking after a sick child.

That should be interesting. I like Graham Slee gear. I'm hoping to find time to sit down and work out the plans for my new TL speaker build today.

Hoping a nice new set of Genelex KT 77 turn up today. Got a Unison Research S6 at the weekend, it popped an HT fuse on Sunday, but looking at the power valves, they are what came with the amp new and the bases look well toasted so look to have had a lot of use. Hoping the new valves will solve the issue.

I miss having a valve amp in my life. My main system is sorted so no room there, but I’d like NA other Audion at some point, or maybe something I’ve never had before.
