Finally fitted my Koetsu cartridge to my Phonomac 1010 arm, been using a cheapie cart last couple of weeks to hear how it sounded as everyone was raving about it on another Forum, it's decent but it's no Koetsu Black Goldline 😉
Nor should it be mind you.
Listening to Fleetwood Macs Tango in the Night, jeez it's a good recording, good one to use when setting up that's for sure.

have a day off, loads to do, not started yet. Only got up at 0915, stupid phone ran out of charge in the night so no alarm.
You need an alarm to wake you up? Lucky you. Around 6.30 each morning my stomach shouts "Cornflakes time!" and if I try to ignore it, it just switches my bladder on and that does the trick

when I wake up and it's cold - and still dark outside - I ignore stomach and bladder (and wanting a ciggie) and roll over and go back to sleep. Then I don't wake up unless it gets really bright outside. So I need an alarm November through to February.
''I think a lot of digital people are just bored because there's little to tweak.
Suddenly boutique network cables, switches and usb cables are a thing you're into because, well what else is there except listening to music?''
I've an inbuilt alarm these days. 4am. Ping, I'm awake. Not very happy about it, but seems there's nothing to do about it. On with the headphones for 4 hours of music and/or YouTube music vids. Very enjoyable. Without the headphones insanity would rapidly ensue I feel sure. And I'm discovering vast swathes of new to me music, so that's a definite plus.

Definitely making use of what could be deemed a less than ideal idiosyncrasy of your existence!
Back home today, been in Australia where my son has lived for nearly 11 years, He pulled out all the the stops and went right out of his way to take us everywhere and ensure we had a great time, which we all did, very proud of him, he made me/us feel special..
Been away since 22nd Dec, had a fab time, too much to bore you all with.
Was sunny and very warm there most of the time, so did plenty Bondi and delicious gelato.
The house is like a fridge here - just turned the heating right up, it will take ages to get cosy.
Have suitcases to lug upstairs etc etc and back to work on Thursday, as well as some system changes to implement, so might still be a little while til I'm fully back on hifi n system stuf and posting properly again.
fantastic robbie . my wonderful gas man and colleague of some years has just emigrated to oz this christmas . he has been held up due to covid and sold everything several times due to this !!! sadly missed but a great place
rang homeserve to get the usual reduction in renewal premiums . fortunately didnt take 2 hours to get through like last time [ actually i never got through and gave up !! ]

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the differences. I'm yet to hear some NS1000s too.

Not heard a bad Clarity Cap to be fair.
Although I like Mundorf Supreme's too . . . . if the Clarity's don't work out (for whatever reason) you could always try going up the Mundorf range, silver/gold/oil etc.

Yeah I like them too, I already use the CSA’s in mid section, would cost a lot to do them in CMR’s

Yesterday I chopped up an old sofa so today too it to the tip (plus a few other bits and bobs)
The, now the kit has been in the front room for a few weeks now thought I would check the level of the rack - which was as expect out so took evrything off the top and adjusted so now all the turntables are now bang on level.
Tweaked the speakers (the right speaker was slightly further back than the left one) and made sure they are level - all good now

Got my boss out of his pit as car wouldn't start so he had to run me to Bognor (6 miles) to open the shop. Had to join the great unwashed on the bus to get home, 1st time I've been on a bus for 25 years, the experience was as miserable as I remember.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Most of your fellow passengers will be there because they are unable or unfit to drive for whatever reason, so you can't expect too much from them, and the state of your seat and window will only be as good as whatever scumbag sat there before you.
I think I may now be able to get free bus travel, but with two motorbikes, three vans and a car to choose from I should be ok.

Or becasue busses may represent the quickest and most efficient way for them getting in and out of town?
If everyone who was on the bus was in a car the roads would be even worse than they are now!
I don't like buses much either but just playing devils advocate here!
I do like buses, and when using them locally to me they are great. Perhaps I am lucky but the one I catch most is warm, has comfortable seats and Wi-Fi, it is a local bus, not a coach. It runs every 20 minutes and is excellent. It is well used and folk who use it speak of it really highly.
Always given the choice I would choose this bus over a car, this is even before considering environmental reasons. It is loads cheaper too than using the cat, especially at the moment with maximum single fair being £2.

Both valid points, and probably more relevant than when I last travelled on a bus, about 15 years ago. Which was not a good experience. What with the smell of weed, and the sound of young mums talking loudly on their smartphones, voices made hoarse through screaming at their feral kids to behave.
If the bus travel became compulsory transport for schoolkids, the roads would certainly be less gridlocked at peak times. That would be a move in the right direction.

I'd be 100% on board with that, absolutely.
Unfortunately, like most things you'd get too many people moaning, probably about human rights (the right for a 12yr old to travel in luxury ) etc etc.
Shame really, bantering with your mates on the top deck certainly beats listening to Radio 4 with your mum, seat warmers or not.
