I like the midrange and HF transparency of the 57s but they struggle low Down. Don't like the idea of using a sub either. |

I've gone to buy two pairs from shops. In each case at least one driver was dead and the cabs were tatty.
If I am offered a fully operational pair of matching NS1000's in good order I will pay £1000 plus delivery without any quibble. I won't pay above a grand because I don't believe in chasing things even if I can afford to...and I think a grand is a fair price for a pair. We can talk stands separately after.
So ...there ya go.

Quadral Chromium Style 6. Best speakers I have ever owned by a country mile. Trouble is they are German and you brits are prejudiced against hi-fi from the continent.

Shouldn't three ways with drivers offset have them set on the inside to prevent baffle reflections fecking with the imaging, especially when they're not toed in? That's what I was taught anyway by people who know what they're on about... I seem to recall the more expensive and rather better NS2000's had vertical inline drivers.
