The latest 'flavour' in migrant incursion into the UK is cross channel boats. Is this a new issue? (No) Or is our attention being deflected from more serious problems elsewhere.
Anyway, seems to me it's always a soft touch being used (as usual). Why? These people are unwanted and potential terrorists! Surely sending a destroyer to blow a few out of the water with 4.5 inch airburst rounds would drive a deterent message home.
You wouldn't see Russia or China putting up with this kind of crap!

I've been doing 1 or 2 days discharging new cars from ships coming from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge, and although I have not found a migrant they catch a few at Immingham.

Of course they will have an elaborate justification for it if called out. Most people will help most people if it isn't going to cost them. Personally I don't have an issue with immigrants, legal or illegal. If I was in their boat (ho ho) I'd be looking to get into the UK too. So you can't blame them personally. What I don't agree with is allowing uneducated, unskilled people in. Why do that when we already have plenty of home grown ones who are already on the bottom in terms of earning power? To get into the USA to work the company hiring you has to demonstrate that they cannot find a US citizen with the requisite skills. Australia and Canada you have to accumulate enough points, the skills needed bit is a big part of it. That's al fine but if we try to do the same here we're 'racists'. |

Even under EU FOM there are still controls and restrictions that can and are used by many EU member states. I always saw FOM as a primarily economic initiative (with a side serving of individual freedom) rather than a question of morality. |

Imagine, the alpine wolf will travel 1200km across Italy, Austria and into France to have their litter.
I however, a member of the most 'intelligent species" cannot even cross the line at airport/dock without a fucking booklet identifying who I am.
The animals are free, we have happily been placed in captivity.
