Yes, that makes sense. No idea what the RT60 is in my room so I can't calculate the Schroeder. Need a mic for that. Got a Umik-1, never been out of its box...at some point I'll get round to it but not having a problem to fix I don't have the incentive to do the work. Ofc it could be I could make it better even so. Lack of any obvious problem doesn't mean it's close to perfect.

Measuring usually just makes you concerned about things you were otherwise unaware of!

No it's frequency so it's the number of times you take the cat out of the box and put it back in*, not the speed.
(* caution - cat may get mightily pissed-off with this process, especially if it's state is 'alive'.)
Any way wasn't that Schroedinger? I It was Schroedinder box.
If the cat “waves” as it passes then could it be classed as frequency given a time frame ie in and out= time.
Physics “ the number of waves passing Fixed point in unit time”
Lol

I'd suspect you are right, but i can't check to confirm. It's definitely something i will look into though. The room speaker interaction is now at the forefront of my future advice to anyone who dare ask for it lol. This move to Mini Vaders and being able to tune out the biggest issues has changed my attitude to hifi in a big way. I will be especially interested to read what you think when you revisit here. I will come down there, you'll have to let me know when is good for you. I'm having trouble getting time off right now as it's all hands to the pump (although we are slowly turning it around). I'm off six days over Easter but suspect that's not good for you - plus I have to go up to Liverpool for some of that. Some time in mid-April I might be able to do if that coincides. Ok, leave it with me. I'll let you know what i have available when i have checked with work and Mrs Bigman
