Only 7 months to go and frankly I couldn't give a toss what sort of Brexit it is as long as we're out.
First thing I'm going to do is have their stinking flag taken down from outside of work. I can see it from my desk ( got a desk by the window ofc) and it pisses me off every day. Why not just run up a Swastika and have done with it?
Then I'm going to have a party. Probably on my own since all my mates except one voted to remain -bloody traitors! - and he's down in The Smoke. But I don't care. Never thought I'd see the day. Had resigned myself to seeing the country I grew up in and quite like despite its faults, swallowed up by an Orwellian Super-State.
Ofc still 7 months to go so you can bet they will get increasingly desperate to try and stop it. But it's looking good.

I’m still expecting a 2nd referendum and loads of to and fro. If there is one, I reckon it may still be a “leave” vote, but who knows?
As long as nothing happens to let Corbyn and his allies anywhere near power, I’m ok.

Marx was a rich kid anorl. Just like almost all your politicians now. Never done a proper day's work in their lives. The only thing they are any good at is politics. And that takes up so much of their time there's none left to actually solve the country's problems.
Even if they could, which they can't because they've got F#ck-all experience of how the real world actually works. And they get advised by Civil Servants who are mostly the same. That's why pretty much anything that any government ever does is either badly implemented or is an idiotic idea to begin with. Which is then badly implemented.

At worst, I've just wasted a bit of money, but if it all goes tits up, I'll have an edge for a while. There's enough weaponry knocking about here to repel the hordes for a while. Anybody trying to get in my house will get a nasty shock! I've even got 'survivalist' transport, there's a mint, low mileage, Honda Innova scooter in the garage that will do 150mpg. |

A similar situation arose just as WWII broke out, with the Mosley-ites opposing Britain's entry into the war, because they supported Hitler's aims, and the Communists opposing Britain's entry into a 'capitalist conflict'.

'left' and 'right' don't really make sense to me. 'Right wing' can be seen as someone who is in favour of a lightly regulated free market and an emphasis on the freedom of the individual.
Likewise it can also mean someone who favours a non-democratic system such as a dictatorship with highly authoritarian control and little personal freedom.
Wheras left wing can refer to someone who believes in an authoritarian communist/socialist society where the good of the many is the priority, or they could be in favour of a socialist society that still emphasises freedom of the individual - a lot of anarchists consider themselves 'left wing' for example.
And then you have racism, white supremacy and nationalism which are always called 'right wing' but are actually unrelated to the economic or social/societal point of view and could be views held by someone on pretty much any point on the political spectrum.
Consequently I don't tend to get involved in political discussions where the participants like to bang on about 'left wing' and 'right wing' since it's usually a good indication that their understanding is stuck at the sixth-form level and they are unlikely to have anything of genuine interest to say.
