Bad news folks. The loan scheme has come to an abrupt end due to loanee No2 purchasing the unit. Can't turn revenue down in this cost of living crisis, so thanks to everyone for their interest in listening to the Phonostage. good news. It is just too good! |

You can blame me folks, I've been after one since I sold my BB3, in fact wanting one was the impetus for selling my BB3 which I was more than happy with but I wanted to reduce valve and box count (my BB3 was a 2 box version) on the shelf and go for the BT2/Avalon combo but I ended up with a different pre amp, and then yesterday I bought the integrated version of my power amp to reduce box count, my power amp and pre amp will be up for sale soon. Listening to the 2018 remix of Pink Floyd's Animals right now and couldn't be happier. If you're thinking about one and don't want valves then go for it, you won't be disappointed.  |

mikeyb I seem to remember this happening a lot when I sent BB3's out on loan lol. Glad you're happy and I hope it makes for happy listening.

I think with the amount of messages, memes and tears I eventually wore Oli down. I only have it plugged into an old B&O 1700 TT with bog standard B&O cartridge, which I will say is amazing for the money, I bought that to tide me over whilst waiting on my Phonomac 1010 tonearm being built, but I can tell that the Avalon is something special so can't wait to get the SP10 back up and running when my new tonearm arrives. |
