Neither actually. Long story short, the Avalon came back because @mayebazza thought it had a fault. It doesnt. It is just so silent in background noise that he didn't realise it was on 😂 |

Deerrrr!!! 😂😂 In Barrington's defense, the first time I plugged it in after building, I thought it was dead. My usual test is to clean the stylus, but if you aren't swapping stuff regularly and you are used to hearing some hiss etc......it's completely understandable. Also, there is no LED on mine so it really does look and sound dead 😂 |

It's also very difficult to try to describe differences which aren't really there, so I'll try this:
Both have the full cajones, the Ultime is the hairy version, the Avalon the shaved version.
See I told you it was hard.

Bad news folks. The loan scheme has come to an abrupt end due to loanee No2 purchasing the unit.
Can't turn revenue down in this cost of living crisis, so thanks to everyone for their interest in listening to the Phonostage.
