www.blocket.se/stockholm/Porsche_964_911_turbo_3_6_laga_mil_svensksald_81240808.htm?ca=10&w=2air cooled 911 porsche prices have sky rocketed over the last 15 years here...that 1994 is 220k sterling lol..could have bought that 15 years ago for 40k...220k for a 25 year old porsche is just insane.. 911's are a good investment..all become worth a lot as the years roll buy...same with many yank cars...they only go so low in value then start creeping up again...this is why 'll only ever put a lot of money to either a 911 mustang camaro or corvette...my cash wont go anywhere else. and a lambo ofc... countach prices have gone through the roof aswell..200k nowadays for a mint one

That would scare the Sh#t out of me. Being so exposed on something so heavy and moving so fast just seems like asking for trouble. No way I could ever hack a crash helmet, so I won’t ever be able to ride a motorbike in the UK. I hate having my head and ears covered, let alone my face.

Cars are a sore subject at the moment.
Last Tuesday morning my missus was waiting to turn right off a main road and behind her was a Volkswagen van also waiting to turn, when suddenly the van smashed into the back of her car. Turns out that an idiot in a BMW was tanking it down the main road and collided with the VW and shunted it into the back of her CRV. "Sorry, I didn't see you" was his excuse. Must have been admiring his willy not to see a black van in front of him, but the result was 3 cars written off.
What has surprised me though was Churchill's response to this. Within an hour they phoned to ask about the details and within another 30 minutes they arranged a hire car and transport to the repairers. The following day they rang and said the car is a write off and offered a settlement figure which was very generous and paid into our bank the same day. For it to be done and dusted within 48 hours was very commendable, so well done Churchill Insurance.
Thursday afternoon did a 180 mile round trip to pick up another car - another CRV. A later MK2 for a silly low price, but the catch was it came off a farm and stank of horse Sh#t, with around a hundredweight of dried mud thrown in.

Do you know. If you want summert doing right do it yourself. I only took the car in for a full service & MOT only last month. Today the wife says that shes pressing the brake pedal down a lot further than usual & i thought the car was making a bit of a noise when she was braking. Had a Quick look & the pads are mega down ffks. I recon they should have told me those pads were mega low & the discs were worn.. So this is a job for me this weekend. Im gonna change the pads & the Discs, Fitting BREMBO they are the best imho.. I want those Axle sections looking like they just come out the show room, all the Calliper housings need cleaning & refinishing like new.Copper slipped.. Karns don't mess about doing half a job.. New set of Alloys & Tyres on in the summer. From now on im going over that car with a fine tooth comb, Keeping a Journal of whats Ive done & when. Aint paying no tw**t to do any more services, quite obviously throwing my money away. I want 100% peace of mind. www.brembo.com/en/car/aftermarket

I've been looking around for a second car, just for a bit of fun. A nearby dealer had a rare ten year old mint, low mileage Nissan Micra 160 SR (yes, there is a sporty Micra!) for sale, so I had a test drive. That was fun, the little bugger went like a rocket, first time I've experienced torque steer in thirty years. I decided against it 'cos the clutch take up was pretty late and I didn't fancy an £800 bill to fit a new one. If I spot another I may be tempted. Quite fun having a Micra that'll leave most behind.

Both Alfa. Black one's a 164 Super 3.0 V6, that pic is when I showed it at the Scottish Italian Car Show. Other is a 3.0 166 Super Lusso with factory pearlescent paint job.

Hope you purchased the 166 used, one of the biggest depreciating cars on the market at the time. Shame really, reports I have seen all say it was a super car. I owned the Alfa 156, loved driving that.

The bloke replied 'I refuse to buy anything made by the Ford Motor Company, because I don't want a car that dissolves in water'.

dreadful cars..like most new cars today they last long enough untill the warranty is up then they rust and fall to pieces. todays cars use way too much plastic under the hood that should be made of metal...hot and cold destroys it after about 100k miles.. i buy a new car and as soon as the warranty expires i part ex it in
