Why was the question not asked again? Who's permission did he need to book it? Alan was there and with the venue being quite a popular one, he struck while the iron was hot so as not be pushed further down the calender. All dates thus far have been cautionary ones with the proviso of changing it. Only now has it been concrete. No matter what date was picked, it would be problematic for a percentage of the membership. Then why were we asked in the first place, the booking could have been made as you say, while the iron was hot. I understand it is never easy to book a suitable date for everyone, but why go to all the trouble of asking members about the dates in April only to book it in May, it does not make sense. |

CONFIRMATION OF AA BAKE-OFF SUNDAY MAY 8th Due to a flood of bookings the date has had to be moved to May 8th. We have the room all day from 10:00 until 20:00 Location is Himley Cricket Club, Stourbridge Rd, Himley DY3 4LB There is a bar with snacks, for those that want a full meal there is the Dudley Arms within 200m that do an excellent carvery. Nearby hotels are Himley Country Hotel, 01902896716, £43 and Himley House Hotel, 01902892468, £54. BOLLOCKS!!! I'm on grandad duty that weekend. No 1 daughter and hubby going away for a long weekend for their wedding anniversary. Have got the little shits from 3.15 Friday through to Monday eve. |

I have just this minute come off the telephone with my brother and we can make it after all on the 8th. I will also verify we can make it the following weekend 15th, since I know John (Lurch) would like to come, and the 8th caused him a problem also.
