Might be worth aiming for 10am kick off as time will go V quick + those coming some distance will make for a very late arrival back home so may poss want to leave 6ish.

It is going to take too long for me to get there, so I am reluctantly going to have to give it a miss.
There are no direct flights, so I am looking at 5 hours minimum.
Have a great day though, and don’t forget the pictures and a write up.
(In some ways I am happy, as I won’t get to hear new kit, so I can continue on my zero spending policy for 2022).

CONFIRMATION OF AA BAKE-OFF SUNDAY MAY 8th
Due to a flood of bookings the date has had to be moved to May 8th. We have the room all day from 10:00 until 20:00
Location is Himley Cricket Club, Stourbridge Rd, Himley DY3 4LB
There is a bar with snacks, for those that want a full meal there is the Dudley Arms within 200m that do an excellent carvery.
Nearby hotels are Himley Country Hotel, 01902896716, £43 and Himley House Hotel, 01902892468, £54.

Why was the question not asked again? Who's permission did he need to book it? Alan was there and with the venue being quite a popular one, he struck while the iron was hot so as not be pushed further down the calender. All dates thus far have been cautionary ones with the proviso of changing it. Only now has it been concrete. No matter what date was picked, it would be problematic for a percentage of the membership. |
