You can't see anything until it lights up, sweet effect Cool idea . . . . but I even disconnect the little power indicator LED's in most of my equipment as in my mind it's a tiny unnecessary bit of juice doing nothing other than aesthetics . . . . so not for me. It would look sick though (as I believe the youth say). |

Solid state stuff really is harder to make visually attractive to the garden variety audiophile. You get 6 Valves and bare solid core copper wire linking it all up, throw it in a Bisto Tin and someone will absolutely love it. However, with no glass or warm glow radiating from vents etc, I tried to make it look at clean and modern as I could. I think the looks are great and the finish on the metal work is excellent too. I will be introducing CNC'd markings for the inputs and outputs on the next batch, just to polish the last little details up. |
