Works out at about £270 all in (including delivery)
Worth a punt?

They want £133000 raised and based in Hong Kong, with only 56 days to raise another £117,000 good luck with that.
Just buy one of Spiders over on the Wam and save the grief

Or buy my Moth off of me Although it's not ultrasonic. But it does get your records clean.

You can buy a ultrasonic cleaner, the motorm spindle and all the gubbins from ebay about £150 cheaper than the one from the WAM. Just be patient, do your homework and then save your pennies. I wouldn't touch Kickstarter with a very very large barge pool.

Just had a look at a large enough Ultrasound unit on Amazon (6 litre for £85) so will work out what else is required - anyone else built one on here?

On my watch list, as this is my next project.
Just one question though, how do you dry the records after cleaning?

I would suggest 2 knostis, 1 to clean and 1 to rinse then leave on the racks to dry.
The Knosti MKII+ is the latest model they have released and its really rather good.
Unless your records are mega dirty an ultrasonic cleaner is not needed IMO.
Knosti 1 should have the cleaning fluid in, Knosti 2 should have distilled water in.
Its a very good solution for record cleaning and relatively cheap compared to Pro-Jects RCM and others.
Plenty of the above for sale on ebay etc, etc.

I always that vacuum dry was better than leaving them to dry naturally.

What brands of Ultrasonic baths are ok? Or are they pretty much made in the same place?
I assume it is a 6l one that is needed?

I have heard good things about DK Sonic ultrasonic cleaners. They are not the cheapest, but are they worth the extra cost?

Another question, there is a version of the motor that has a vertical slide built in. Is this worth the extra money?
Just wondering how much of a pain it is to manipulate 6 records at a time on the spindle without this?

I have bought an EU model. I could not find a link to it. I am going to add a DK Sonic dual mode, 300W heater ultrasonic cleaner to this. The entire thing will cost me €300, but it will heat up quickly Most cleaners have 100W heaters, so will take a bit longer to get to the selected temperature.

You've bought one.....I misread the post obviously lol. Well done! Will you be using some of Simon's E³ solution or do you have something of your own?

You did not misread the post. I thought about it for about 13 minutes.
I don’t have any of Simon’s magic juice, yet.... I still need to get a tank. Looking at the options, and seeing if it is worth getting the DK Sonic dual wave, or if a cheaper model will do. I still want 300W heating, otherwise it will take ages for the fluid to heat up.
I bought my motor on Ali Express, but it is shipping from the Czech Republic, so should avoid import fees.

It is on the project list for 2021. The “liftable” bracket looks like it may avoid clumsy handling errors, and it was just over €80. There is also a 6l tank with the single frequency, and a 300W heater for €150.
Tempted by that, as the DK sonic is €230.
