idos system dude..the machine pumps the exact amount for each use. i have stripped it down and cleaned it.. the idos pump that delivers the conditioner is fucked. wont buy a machine with this cack again not repairing it...cost more to repair than it's worth. anything here that needs repairing will cost way more than a new machine..found the one we are getting. 700 quid..need to lay it down to collect it though aint paying 60 quid delivery charge just valeted his micro car insane they can drive these at 15 here

My washing machine is 15 years old, and has been moved several times during that time, including to the south of France. 6 years seems really short to me. Best get something like a Miele to replace the current one. Our first 5 washing machines each lasted four years. It was like they had a built in timer. All were more expensive brand names. We decided to buy cheap ones and have just left them behind when moving. It’s worked better for us.

The one that seems even worse is countries like Spain where they put the washer in the bathroom. They also ripout fitted kitchens when they move,

Our Bosch washer lasted ten years at 3-4 loads a day when sonny-jim was small before it first developed a slight 'almost invisible' leak (it's in a cupboard with the tumble dryer above it and dripped out into the bottom casing cover) and then an increasingly rumbly drum bearing which was deafening by the end. Mind you, I replaced the motor's carbon brushes twice in that time (not very difficult for a turntable bodger). Never have another as the UK service dept was all but unobtainable at the time and prices were stupid at the end.. Replaced with a 9kg machine, so whatever the life-span, larger loads possible so less cycles per week to add wear or use water and 'leccy.'

really best to just buy a machine for 300 quid then throw it away the second it goes wrong..we do that anyway..this bosch was 600 quid so not to pricey.. 5 to 6 years seems to be the lifespan of these things. and thay want us to be far greener...well they should make it illegal for these clowns to sell things that are dead in a few years.
our dualit toaster and henry hoover are both almost 30 years old and will last another 30 years by the look of it

I’ve just had to remove some troll posts, so I’m only gonna say this once.
1. If you don’t like the content of this or any other thread, don’t read it.
2. If your only purpose in posting is to criticise and troll, don’t post.
3. Finally if you like slagging AA and it’s regulars off elsewhere, don’t expect a warm welcome when you come back here, especially if it’s to troll.
Rule 6 is here to prevent such things
“6. If you are a someone who enjoys conflict, being abusive and posting offensive comments, pics or any other unwelcome content, this is the wrong place for you.”
. I want to keep AA a friendly conflict-free forum. Please don’t spoil it.
In the interests of harmony, I have “reversed” a couple of avatars. You don’t need to keep them, but please don’t use each other’s pics as this can’t be good for forum harmony. I’m trying to keep the forum a place free from in-fighting so I hope those concerned can see where I’m coming from.

I can’t imagine the hell of multiple loads of laundry each day. At least you chose a good brand.

We'd had Zanussi before with absolutely no issues whatsoever apart from one thing. My machine was ten years old and lightly used until our son came along and when my Dad passed away, we donated my old machine to a young couple we knew who were just getting together and we took my Dad's new Zanussi compact model (slimmer front to back and smaller load). Poor bloody thing didn't know what hit it with a very small boy getting through clothes at a rate of knots. It survived four years but one evening it went onto spin and with an enormous BANG, the main bearing shaft snapped and we thought the house was coming down with the racket before we turned it off. We could have bought a replacement (same machine under the 'Electra' brand) for the same cost as a repair (bearings and seals here are a full uneconomic rebuild), so off to the recycling centre it went.
By the way, Miele machines are no more reliable beneath the skin it seems than a decent cheaper brand, but maybe they tart the cabinets and trims up a bit to justify three or four times the price or whatever.. A pal had his bungalow flooded by a Miele machine that wasn't more than a few years old (it came on before they got up one morning, so the washing would be ready to dry come breakfast time).
I wonder if Indesit machines are actually as good and long lasting as say, a Bosch? They used to be noisier when working and maybe not as 'high tech' on the programmes (which few people ever use anyway) but Which reports never did them down that much I seem to remember.

nothing is made any good today..only cars have got better..electronics last a few years then it's off to the tip. if they want us to be greener then they need make these makers give us all a 10 year garantee by law..they would soon start makng them good again..samsung tv's are good though.not had one go wrong in the last 15 years. iphones are mega reliable. way more then the samsungs..my iphone is 5 years old..dropped it about 20 times. used 10 hours a day for streaming radio2 at work in a dusty enviroment . even dropped it in the deep part of the pond. still holds full charge and works tirelessly. henry hoovers are the best and most reliable piece of stuff i have ever had..used almost daily since 1992 it just keeps going..same with dualit toasters..built to last forever.. i blame the chinese tbh..most of their stuff is cack. BMW lol..use lots of cherap plastic in and around the engines nowadays..has a 100k mile lifespan..wouldn't touch one with a barge pole

TI always expected I’d get a motorbike and I really liked the thought of the freedom. As I get older, the desire has completely gone. It’s just too exposed for me and I’d hate the whole leathers and crash helmet malarkey.

Why would you want to spend 10k on a Pc? There is absolutely no need, even to run triple screens. My Pc runs 4 screens no problem, but I will be going VR soon.
