If you get to say, 500k long before 65, would you keep going or just kick back and enjoy life? I guess if you enjoy the work and you like having more money, it’s a motivator in itself. I just haven’t found any work I’d rather do than kicking back and enjoying my earnings.

morning Ant. i suppose i make it look easy aye..fastest floor sander on the planet i think i am.. got me dough sorted for that job another dead easy one tomorrow..500 quid for an 8m2 kitchen lol..have the first coat on by 9 i rekon.. floor sanding is hard pysical work and u need a lot of expensive machines. but if u invest the 10 grand needed and dont mind hard work- so that counts out shane- then you will be sorted for life. like i said i rekon i've earnt more than 400k off my machines over the years. 1999 and 2000 i worked 7 days a week non stop my wallet never had less than 10 to 15 grand in it lol..me ex passed her bike test and on me way home i bought her a brand new 500 suzuki gs500 in cash just like that..
i know a dude in stockholm that sands floors and his wallet is about 6 inches thick full with cash lol..bursting at the seems it is.. no carpets here in sweden..only ever seen one wall to wall carpet in 15 years..99 percent of all floors here are oak and all need resanding every 10 to 15 years.
i have built up an awesome reputation here in uppsala..jobs pour in and i'm happy to do them..only got 9 years left i will hopefully show my son how to do it and then he can have me machines when i retire...if i retire lol..i rekon i'll go on till 75. i love me cash to much to sit on me arris all day

I know you like your cash too much, but I think you'd be a bloody fool if you kept working when you could retire. If you don't stop work, put your feet up and enjoy the fruits of your labours, what's the point of it all. Your and Marie would be able to afford everything you need within reason, and spend more time together.

If you don't stop work, put your feet up and enjoy the fruits of your labours, what's the point of it all. Your and Marie would be able to afford everything you need within reason, and spend more time together. It all depends on how much you like your job. A woman I used to work with, who was herself approaching retirement age, told me that her father, then in his early eighties, was still working as a marine engineer because a) he enjoyed the work and b) his skills were in demand, so he could choose which jobs (and how many) to take on. But I certainly can't see the point of working just to keep piling up cash if you can find better/more enjoyable ways of passing the time and have enough money saved to cover the cost of doing those things.

She looks spoiled. Never heard of dogs eating peanuts, but they are nice, so why not? Mine used to be mad keen on carrots and cucumber. Also liked the taste of human blood though lol.

Just had to,look that up. It’s a VR headset thingy. Don’t they make some folk dizzy? I used to love games up to my mid 30s. Seems pointless to me now.

My washing machine is 15 years old, and has been moved several times during that time, including to the south of France. 6 years seems really short to me. Best get something like a Miele to replace the current one.
